How can we be forgetting about Springfield's unstoppable middle Andy Sipe? The guy is 6'6" with arms that reach down to his knees. And the best part is that Springfield has the passing and defense to make him effective in the middle. And how do you know palumbo is gone? he is listed on the roster... EDIT: And don't forget about Frederickson either he was only a freshman last year but he finished second in kills on their team. Problem with this is that every team has a solid Middle of some sorts, and yes Sipe is good, but what happens on transition when you don't get that good pass to the zone and you NEED a big wing to put the ball away? I'm not saying Springfield sucks, but they are definatly not where they need to be to compete for the EIVA title. Rutgers has had some SOLID recruits over the years. Honrberger brothers, Alex the setter that graduated two seasons ago and Hulse is pretty good too, so the talent has been there. The question wil continues to be "Will they put it together as a team this year?" As individuals some of these players could go to any team and be a force. Can the RUTGERS TEAM do it? That will be answered this season. Plus ESU's rise is looking good. St. Fran, Juniata and PSU (of course) have out recruited (sort of) over the past few years I can't wait to see where they end up this season. Hopefully in the top five of the EIVA. That means (in my view) that the league as a whole is getting better and can compete outside of the EIVA. It's only better for the league.

In the Tait, Penn State looks to be the favorite, but George Mason and St Francis should challenge them. How is St Francis ranked that low? Did they overachieve last year, or graduate a bunch, or both? Also, East Stroudsburg is a good addition to the division and has the potential to turn a few heads this year. Should be interesting to see what they can do.
The Hay seems to be right on. NJIT returns all their starters from a very good team last year. They are definitely the team to beat.
