Of course she is gonna play sand volleyball. Then she'll play indoors in the fall next year. Sand and indoors are in different seasons (spring/fall) and she'll be able to play both. That's true, kaboom but I don't think she can play indoors if she is on scholarship for sand. You can play both, but if you do then your scholarship counts for indoors. If you are counting the scholarship for sand then you can't play indoors.

My source says that she is there to play Sand Volleyball....not sure about the indoor thing but you all had better assign 5 tutors to her 24/7 Of course she is gonna play sand volleyball. Then she'll play indoors in the fall next year. Sand and indoors are in different seasons (spring/fall) and she'll be able to play both. Along with the tutors you will need to hire someone to follow her around and make sure she goes to class. I had the easiest A class at USC with her last year and she barely went. When she did go she was a distraction to the rest of the class. She ended up dropping it. Hopefully she can get her act together but I doubt it.

Wow, this is crazy. If she really does play next season Hawaii has a really good shot at the NC.

If you are counting the scholarship for sand then you can't play indoors. To clarify slightly, if you have an indoors scholarship, you can play sand, no problem. If you're on a sand scholarship, you can play indoors, but that scholarship will then count against the indoor total scholarships. The reality is that very few sand scholarship players will play indoor, particularly at a high-level program like Hawaii where indoor scholarships are usually maxed out, but technically they are allowed to. I'd be pretty surprised if FF ends up on a sand scholly (assuming she's enrolled, of course). She's also a much better indoor player than beach player.

What?...da "system" went hele on??? ___ late 80s...5'8", OH, Sistah2Sista: Thia Palakiko-UHH (who even after her torn ACL & rehab was still a fierce player in her own right, was IMO destined to be way better than her sibling) early 90s...5'10", OH, outta da Allen Ohana: Dolores Allen (who just about flattened the ball--every single time--upon contact with such a HEEAVVVY wrist snap)...5'10", OPP, three years @ University: Pele Baker (who has been thee best ever wahine from Hi.) 2000s...5'7.5", OH, from Hilo/Moanalua: Kaleinani Kabalis (who's MIA currently) ___ Dave COULD surprise after sooo many years, BUT I tend not to think so. *Da "system"

What college teams would FF/Hawaii play on a sand team? I am hearing recently that Stanford is pushing back fielding a sand team to spring 2014 at the earliest because there isn’t enough national interest yet (among other reasons).
It doesn’t seem like a competitive situation for FF playing on a college sand team next year. Pro, yes; college, no.

If Fonoimoana is a sophomore when she plays, then Hawaii will have probably the most dominating sophomore class with Fonoimoana, Croson, and Waber! Now with her, I think it will make up for Hawaii not getting much players next year
