Just a suggestion. If you ask for PMs, you could end up getting 1000. Better to ask for them to respond here.

We made our own out of 2x4s, plywood, and some netting. I'll post the pics tomorrow after I take them.
Looks like your picture cuts off the top. Was this the "Setter's Eye" without the "Ring of Fire"?

I've used a basketball hoop for the same purpose -- for passing, too.
Jury's still out as to whether it helped or not.

Its rather expensive if you buy a professionally made one. However, you can make your own out of PVC pipe for very little.

The ring of fire is still in litigation I guess. I found a replacement from Tandem Sport, it is the target device they use for the setting and catching. It has a net attached, I just didn't use the net and put the hoop straight up and it is the ring of fire. I would send you a picture but Tandem Sport isn't showing it on their web site. I wonder if they got sued too.

Another option -- although I still say the basketball hoop does the same thing -- is to have your student manager walk around with a trash can on his head.
Just make sure he's at least 5'8" and the trash can is one of those big metal ones (the sound effect is a plus).

I went out and got a fishing net, with a really big loop on it. Then I make the other setters take turns holding it up. That worked ok, until someone had to sneeze, or had an itch, or couldn't stand still.

It's small, but it's there as a target (and for the thrill of actually making it through). The theory is that it's still a useful tool -- the player focuses on the target and repetition carries over to the court. Anything close is a successful pass or set.
Like I said, the jury's still out. But the nice thing about it is that almost all courts, this side of DI (and even most of those), have them. It's there for the using -- and costs nothing.

Yep, that one. I wonder why it isn't on Tandem's web site.
