So much for the theory of the Brazillians having an advantage, because they've been playing all summer...

Just some interesting facts here:
1. Fuerby/Nick threw a smackdown on the Brazilian team that beat Rogers/Phil earlier in the tourney.
2. Although Phil/Todd hold a 5-1 all time record against Matt/Nick, that one loss came the last time they played each other last year in Klagenfurt and Matt/Nick won 21-19, 21-12 the largest margin of victory in the 6 matches they have played.
3. Matt/Nick were also able to avenge losses to the Spanish team who beat them earlier in the tourney and the German team who beat them in the first tourney this year in Israel.
BTW, does anyone know how to get stats from these FIVB tournies? Do they make stats available. I'd really like to see Matt/Nick's stats from this tourney so far.

FIVB traditionally has own kept stats for its World Championship event (Rome, Gstaad, etc.). For those, Mr. BVBInfo has made the trip to support the collection and reporting.

If I understand the time zones correctly, Brazil is 4 hours ahead of me on the West Coast here. That means the final 11:20 Brazil time will be on at 7:20am here.
If at all possible can someone please post the link to the live streaming for the final. Thank you very much.

Matt & Nick are inthe finals! Great job by Matt and Nick at probably the strongest field tourney of the year (because of all the Brazilian teams) Can someone who is more familiar with the math tell us if this is the final nail in the coffin for Rosie/Gibb's chances of qualifying

Anyone know what the injury was for the Brazilians? Hopefully nothing serious Alison ran into an ad board for 11 stitches worth of punishment. I read about it. Sent from my MB860 using ProBoards

you can watch it on laola1.tv if you are in the U.S. then you need to load tunnelbear.com first and then you can watch it. Stupid I know, but the only way I know to watch it live. I am viewing it now.

Download tunnelbear and set it for UK and you can watch the stream.. KillonTwo has directions on his site.
The web stream is rough for me - very choppy, not at all like past events on universal. Its basically like live scoring because i rarely see a full play.
Phil/Todd took game 1 21-17. Fuerby/Nick up 6-5 in game 2.
