some people must not understand the rules that DIII schools must follow. Lakeland College is a DIII school and no DIII schools are allowed to give any type of athletic scholarship. On top of that, I dont know anyone at Lakeland that has recieved an academic scholarship. The money that the Lakeland men's volleyball team has in its budget comes from fund raising and each individual player. Each player on the team this year was charged close to 300$ not including food for any away dual matches or tourneys.

D 3 can give academic scholarships and most of them put together money for leadership type scholarships, which can often be packaged together to assist for athletes.
It might be interesting to have an anonymous poll on here, if someone wants to set it up as to how much are the dues for various mens teams participating in NIRSA. Apart from food, $300 and under, $400/$500, $600/$700, $800/$900, $1000 and over

If UCF did not charge dues before, who paid the bills? Coach salary, asst coach ? , tourney fees, travel planes/cars/gas, vans, hotels, unis, balls, league fes, refs, ? Does the school pick up any or was it all done by fundraising?

First off, Oshkosh will be returning everyone besides Andrew and Mike. Though that loss will be felt, the amount of TALENTED players coming back is immensely ratifies the exiting players.
The talents from all three of the Oshkosh teams are the central core to the AMAZING program that has been created here and that has been fully shown in the past years. Not only the core of the program at UWO but just the sheer amount of talented players in the WVC makes for a Conference that, in my opinion, far outshines any other; considering they have had Marquette, Oshkosh, and Lakeland all in the final match in the past years.
As far as Chad goes however, he did amazing things with Lakeland and truly deserved Coach of the Year.

don't forget Utah Valley St. they may be missing a middle and DS, that comes in for their opposite in the back row, he is going on a lds mission. and their middle may not play next year. they are gaining a setter that was recruited by byu a while back, and another middle that was on the B team that is solid.

Before this year we only played in two major tournaments, Hoosier-Illini and Nationals, but we added Vegas this year around. Hopefully next year we can try to add one more major tourney, maybe The Hardwood Classic?

when i played at marquette, we had two sets of dues...$75 for first semester, $85 for second semester (i don't know if they raised it for this year). the rest of our money was gained by fundraising, hosting our tournament (with a great concession stand) and applying for funding through student government

There are 3 polls on here that we need you to participate in. Even if you just have an approximate idea, pls vote...
$$$ your club fundraises $$$ your school picks up for your team $$$ what your club dues are
Please scroll and find them if they have worked their way down and off page 1. Clubs need this infor for planning, coaches need it for planning, everyone needs it for fundraising.
Some other chat boards, if you change one letter, it jumps back to the top, but not this one. Be nice if Odin would pin these to the top for 10 days or so.

Does anyone think that NIRSA teams would benefit from having their own forum? I've started a couple of forums before and I've been toying with the idea of starting one just for NIRSA, perhaps on the Oshkosh site or on it's own. Just wanted to see if there's any interest.

We played Providence in the confrence final this year and had 3 great matches with them throughout the course of the confrence tourney. We lost to ONU in the Semi Finals at Nationals and I can tell you Providence is the better team...hands down...they just choked. Did anyone else think it was BS that rightside from ONU got MVP of DII?? Our outside, Mike Kren, and Providences outside Trevor Froese had much better tourneys.
