So on Cindy Luis' blog, it's been mentioned that there will be an announcement this week on at least one Rainbow Wahine transfer.
Some of the speculation and comments on the blog are interesting - from Ljunquist returning to coach for UH with two Swedish players transferring in as well to Arizona State senior Ashley Kastl. Of course, it's the typical posters who "post" all kinds of stuff, and Luis has said the Ljunquist speculation is definitely not happening.
Still, Luis confirmed there is an announcement coming, but does not know who. This apparently does not include Fonoimoana or any of the previous rumored transfers.
In other news, Hawaii picked up an invited walk on Katie Spieler a 5'6 Libero from Dos Pueblos High School. Apparently she's a real good beach player, wonder if she'll even be able to help shore up the backrow.
Anyways, not looking for any speculation on VT, but just thought I'd mention it since it's only been on Luis' blog, not on VT or the WSN forums.

Naw, you'd never look for any speculation on VT when it comes to your obsession in life, the Rainbow Wahine!

It's very obvious that the whole purpose of this thread is to beg for speculation.

Um, basically what I meant was I'm not starting this thread to create MORE rumors. Just to summarize what's been going on in Cindy Luis' blog, since its not posted here or on the WSN board.
Although I guess it is somewhat of an oxymoron.

UH is awaiting the tranfer's college transcript, that is why no announcement has been made. To clarify this is a transfer coming into the Wahine program. Hang tight folks, the tranfer's name should be released soon.

So BIK...do you think this person is anyone to get excited over? If they're coming in they're all reasons to get excited over.

Looking at it one way, say you are Scott or McClendon or Carpenter or Shay from Penn State. You have spent two years at Happy Valley, won a national championship, and probably learned about as much as you are going to from the staff there. You have a major in mind with units. You could go to HAWAII for two years and play for another legendary and excellent coach, with a reasonable shot at a championship, particularly if you are one of the stars. Does that seem unreasonable? I'm surprised something like that doesn't happen more often, particularly after three years, when any school has given you about as much as it has to offer, including the same coach. That being said, no knowledge at all about who the transfer is. Sort of hope it's Dorton; she deserves another shot and I think the Hawaii fans would love her.

Per Cindly Luis it is NOT Longo, it's an OH. She didn't give a name, and I have no clue. I don't know of any OH that is transferring that is good enough to start for Hawaii right now.
Of course it could be a JUCO, players like Aneli Otineru and Asia Kaczor came out of the same JUCO if I'm not mistaken. I suppose we'll find out soon enough.
