Interesting that they are playing St. Mary's twice.. once in Hawaii and once @ St. Mary's... Back in 2004, the Cardinal lost twice to the Gaels (in Reno at UNR, at Moraga). I wouldn't enjoy that bit of history repeating, but if the season were also to end the same way, I wouldn't mind too much... That team not only had a go to gal par excellence... Ogonna... but leaders who would tell their teammates to stop screwing around. Any national championship team needs both of those qualities.

Re the WCC/Pac 12 Challenge, I have a vague recollection of the LA schools playing each other the same weekend as the Bay Area schools a couple of years ago,; maybe that will happen again. About Utah/Colorado; perhaps it would have been better to play Washington once, at home, and WSU once, away; that sort of thinking.
And I guess there's no way to confirm it but the Loyola match is presumably LMU, not Loyola Chicago or New Orleans?

It is the Loyola (Chicago) Ramblers. Go to the schedule page and click on the match; the side bar shows the teams' logos.

I was really hoping that Texas would draw Stanford in the Nike Challenge. Oh, well. Perhaps in 2013 in Austin.

Are the Nike games getting covered by the big ten network ?

Since Stanford has this schedule posted, I'm assuming that the PAC conference schedule has all been finalized but I don't see it anywhere. Anyone know if its available someplace that I missed?

Interesting that they are playing St. Mary's twice.. once in Hawaii and once @ St. Mary's... Overall though nice preseason: Hawaii, Penn State, Florida, Pacific, St. Mary's, Santa Clara. That is some big competition early in the season. Stanford will have its hands full.

Stanford plays Hawaii on August 26, comes back to campus, and then takes off for State College on August 29.
Or they might stay a few days in Hawaii and go directly to State College?

Are the Nike games getting covered by the big ten network ? If so, probably only the two games in which Penn State plays.

I would think BTN will pick them up like they did for the AVCA Showcase.

The only reason to go back to campus would be money... and, depending on air fares and lodging costs, it might not even save them any money. Until students are expected back for Fall Quarter... mid-September... food and housing are on the program's dime... walk-ons included. I wonder if there are any HNL-PIT direct flights...

Due to the reduced to 20 match conference schedule Stanford only plays Utah and Colorado once. A good thing/bad thing but probably more bad, but the Cardinal can overcome. if Stanford is not ready a possible 1-4 start. Who do you think the win will come against? Albany or Florida? I believe you are selling your team short. You return most of your starters and are led by an experienced, senior setter. That usually bodes well. A healthy Stanford would be good even without the recruiting class.

I would think BTN will pick them up like they did for the AVCA Showcase. Although that had a B1G team in ever game; this won't. As much as I'd love to see all the games, I can't see the network broadcasting matches without any conference teams in it.
