From the UCLA website:
Bruins Fall in Four at Santa Barbara Thirty-one service errors doom UCLA's season.
The fourth-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team fell 3-1 at UC Santa Barbara in the quarterfinals of the MPSF playoffs Saturday night.
Fifth-ranked UCSB won 30-17, 37-35, 27-30, 30-27 in two hours and 15 minutes in front of 1,157 fans at Robertson Gym. The Gauchos advance to next week's semifinals against Pepperdine with a 20-11 record. The Bruins' season ended with a 19-11 mark.

One of the worst serving matches I've ever seen by a UCLA team. Klosterman did the best he could. George was a big non-factor.
Why UCLA bothered to put up a 3-person block against either one of UCSB's starting OH's on the pipe set on UCSB's transition plays is beyond me. The guys in our local Rec "B" League hit the ball harder than either one of those guys on the pipe set. That's just six hands and two seams for them to exploit.

How Patak continues to get so many kills on the right when he effectively cuts himself off from half the court with his approach is way beyond me. Only time he can even sniff the line attack is when the set dies inside.
I was going to write up some match notes, but screw it. It's UCSB. Bleh.
