This outside is from Germany and his name is Tom Strohbach. Same height as JP Marks 6' 6.
But Tom Strohbach played for Generali Haching last season. I thought a student athlete isn't allowed to have played on a professional team. Have I been misinformed?
He was at UH on a visit so maybe he was on the team but didn't get paid?
Olsen was recruited by Charlie Wade out of high school. I think the final choice came down to Penn State and Hawaii.
BTW, hope these transfers can make a difference because Wade is on the hotseat this coming season. They probably have to at least make the top 8 and the playoffs for him to keep his job.
Charlie's butt is definitely on the line ( as it should be after a last place finish) But I am impressed with the recruits he is bringing in, despite losing Maar. He brought in a few of the top juco players and Captain of the junior world champions in Zarkovic. If Olson regains his freshmen form he should help out a lot too. Hopefully Strohbach joins too.

Is he committed for sure? If so UH will be much improved, he plays alot like Quiroga, not a spectacular athlete but is great receiving and has excellent court vision. Now if UH has a competent person to set the ball from them that will make a world of difference next season.

Got accepted into UH so he will be coming for sure. Also James Bryne a 6' 6 opposite attacker from Las Vegas.

Tom was only on the islands visiting his fellow germ JP, he's not trying out, he's not on the team.
I think the better question to ask is how many players remain. Averill, Holt, Timmer, Hartley, West, Sedore, Marks, Cheape, Chalke, Phelps, Beith, Leite Ay-Yo. 12 total
