You would think $1 trillion in spending stimulus and $2.5 trillion of Fed pump-priming would produce an economy a whole lot stronger than 1.9 percent GDP , which was the revised first-quarter number. And you’d think all that government spending would deliver a whole lot more jobs than 69,000 in May.
But it hasn’t happened.
The Keynesian government-spending model has proven a complete failure.
It’s the Obama model.
Yea, That.
One must bear in mind that the expansion of federal activity is a form of eating for politicians. - - William F. Buckley, Jr.

While I am disappointed in the economic growth and job increase, I think there are things that should have happened to allow for greater job growth.
A few corrections:
1-It's not really the Obama model...it's the republican curtailed Obama model.
2-"The Keynesian government-spending model has proven a complete failure." Is an incorrect statement, and completely unsupported by the facts.
In fact, the facts you have listed actually disprove that statement. The fact that there was growth and job creation is still better than where we were. "Failure" (not even considering the modifier "complete") would point to no positive movement or negative movement in the economy at least

Good one!
2 economic crisis. 3rd & 4th year of new administrations heading towards 2nd term election.

The FACT that there has been improvements in the economy and job situation would indicate that there was at least some success, which would dispute the term failure in at least some definitions when used by itself, and all when coupled with the adj. complete
You could argue that there could have been plans that would have given us greater gains/improvements, but the argument being made if logically faulty.

Tell the truth - - it hurt to post that?
improved job situation? are you for real? Obama's cure for lowering the unemployment rate has been to drive workers from seeking employment which has resulted in a statistical drop in the rate until last month. And that's no spin.
Here's some more spin for you to enjoy.

Talk about spin...pay attention to only some facts, and ignore the rest (that actually pertain to the argument).
How many jobs were being lost per month when he took office? How many are being lost per month now? (if you don't remember form the other threads approx ~700K depending on which report you read vs. a positive number)
Sorry if the facts and the dictionary don't agree with you.

Lie No. 3: A lower unemployment rate means fewer unemployed people.
. . . Looking at our current labor market, the official unemployment rate was at a high of 10 percent in October 2009, and has fallen to 8.1 percent. Some politicians say this is evidence that their policies are bringing back jobs. But, much of the decline in the unemployment rate is due to people giving up looking for work. If we were to add back the people who have stopped looking for work since October 2009, the unemployment rate would be more than 11 percent (see graph). The official unemployment rate has fallen largely because we've stopped counting large numbers of jobless people.
This election season, we'll be treated to stories of how stimulus spending and quantitative easing have created jobs and how the people who brought us these wondrous gifts deserve to be re-elected. But voters would be wise to be skeptical of politicians who only tell us half of the story.

Good one. Tell that to all who have stopped looking for work due to the Obama recovery.
Again, avoiding the issue and my statement.
You said Obama's policies were a "Complete Failure" If we take it as a fact that his policies have been the impact on the economy, then we move to the questions:
1-Is the economy & job situation better now than when he took office? 2-Is the job loss/creation better now than when he took office?
You can argue that it hasn't been a great improvement, or that other plans would have led to better improvement, but the answer to both of those initial questions is still yes...there for the statement "Complete Failure" is incorrect.

a great improvement? you are out of touch just like Obama who today said the private sector is just fine.

That's you're great improvment. Congrats, I guess.

Sigh... READING COMPREHENSION CHECK. It seems that just like the articles you post & quote, you don't read all the way through the posts you quote either
Please point out where I said that there has been "a great improvement"
Here's one you will find...point out where I said "I am disappointed in the economic growth and job increase" (Hint, this thread, Reply #2, June 6, 3:37pm)
after watching Obama embarrass himself yesterday with the private sector doing just fine, at least I understand where his supporters are getting their talking points.

I'll vote Obama, thank you very much, even IF Romney ends up with Condeleezza on his ticket. *The ONLY way he beats the President to begin with!!! Perhaps Mitt / Newt ...dunno?! --- Romney is too 'limp', imo.
AIAW,NCAA,USVBA/USAV,Sand AVCA (1974-2013): 53 Athletes; 90 Awarded Certificates. Is there no ceiling?!

Weren't you the one saying there would be a brokered republican convention?
