We played against Lutz's club team. My outside hitter got set and Lutz came out to block, my outside hung in the air and hit a beautiful rollshot over the block that hung in the air just long enough for the blockers to come down.
So Lutz just landed with her hands completely above the net and threw the ball to the floor.

There was a guy with serious height, perhaps some hops left, talent and knowledge. Hope there's tape somewhere of Karch v. Wilt.

I had heard the story about how KevinMcHale's parents... up in Hibbing in the heart of the Iron Range in northern Minnesota... handled that: they found a tailor to sew the legs from a second pair of jeans as an extension of the legs on a first pair of jeans. Years later, down in Rochester (southeastern MN), I ran into someone from Hibbing. Well, when Hibbing is mentioned, people almost always ask about Bob Dylan or Kevin McHale... I asked about McHale, and he confirmed that he was a relative of the tailor and that the story was true. Kevin McHale, the 3rd most famous Hibbing native! Yes, right behind Joe Micheletti. After all, what is more important in Hibbing, basketball or hockey?

Well, I was actually thinking of Bob Dylan and Roger Maris. But who am I to argue the greatness of Joe Micheletti?* *I have no idea who Joe Micheletti is...

Just Looking over Stanford roster, they will Be HUGE up front next year. Lutz 6'9" (I'm told by a Friend that She has recently Reached that height) Hayley spelman 6'6", Brown 6'5". That averages out to around 6'7", which to my Knowledge would be the tallest in NCAA history.

Charlotte Brown has retired, she no longer plays for Stanford, and Haley Spelman is a senior, she will not be at Stanford next year. I think you were looking at an outdated roster.

Here is another clip of Lutz, dinking the ball on the left. Wish there would have been more clips of her actually hitting the ball... dinking?

Why did Charlotte Brown retire in the first place?
