Why don't you take your own advice,...until you beat a ranked opponent,... and stop playing all these cupcakes! CAL POLY is working with a new coach and six new players, not to mention, the toughest OOC schedule in the country,...so just watch it! When conference rolls around I'm confident CAL POLY will be eating anteaters for breakfast, lunch & dinner. GoPOLY!!!Jake you don't even know what the hell you're talking about when it comes to UCI's schedule. UCI played #22 ranked Kansas St. and Pac 12 team Oregon St. who pushed K-State to 5. This week UCI plays another Pac 12 team in Arizona St. then we play Nebraska. When it comes to Cal Poly, UCI has bragging rights because we swept you last season.  That's when you had both Craven and Keddy. ;D As far as this year in my opinion Cal Poly is in store for a long miserable season. Come on GOUCI, your team is horrible and your coach is a damned joke! |

Lol at all the "damned joke" references. Outside of Hawai'i, every other team in the Big West is a damned joke.

It's too bad that CAL POLY & LBS are not at full strength,...things would be rockin'. Be that as it may, UH is without question, the guiding light for the Big West Conference. Jury still out on POLY's coach Crosson,...I give him to the start of conference play. GoPOLY!!! |

Next year probably won't be much better, even with Keddy back, as it will be Keddy and his first real year of recruits. He has to have 2 full years of recruiting to judge him. come back in October of 2014 and then make a proclaimation. although based on him voting CP to win the conference, not an inspiring action |

USA women's volleyball has never won a gold and this silver tied the best finish in their history. Long Beach State's Alan Knipe took over a team that was the defending Olympic gold medal champions. They weren't favored to medal because they underachieved under Knipe leading up to the Olympics like they underachieved in the Olympics.  Knipe stacked the team with Long Beach St. players to run his own system. Knipe and his system failed to produce a national title for LBS like it failed to produce any medals for team USA. |

OK My Soap Box
I love constructive banter that is based on facts not calling names. Let's here what players are playing well and are shining with their ability. Coaches that are getting the most out of thier players. Since volleyball games have ups and downs how about we have suggestions for those who have a weak game maybe give some ideas. Bashing for bashing sack just hurts the whole sport.
Volleyball is it's own worst enemy we need to come together and try to get more TV Play time so that sponsors are interested in investing in the audience which will make more opportunity for the players and coaches in the future.

Knipe and his system failed to produce a national title for LBS like it failed to produce any medals for team USA. dude, it was a different team, they lost a great setter from '08. The same starting LB player (Lee) was also on the gold team - so that's a silly statement from you to denigrate LB players. MacKenzie played well as a sub, Lotman stunk. the men had their bad game in the quarters, the women had their bad game in the finals. both won their brackets - not like there was really a lot of difference. actually both teams played pretty well overall - but if you don't win gold in the US....... putting down the two coaches for the Olympic performances is pretty lame. |
