"I hope they make the top 4, should be Gregory's last year ... maybe?" It that just a guess or have you heard some rumor (or even harder fact)? Are you referring to me? I have no clue whether or not she will be retiring. Wow, UCSB volleyball without Gregory will be very weird, she's been around forever. One of the few female coaches still coaching today!

Cal State Fullerton & UC Riverside CSUN has the best travel partner and CSUF the worst. With Hawaii and CSUN coming to you place, you cannot prepare properly for both. But with CSUF and UCR you do not have that problem, you prepare primarily for Fullerton.

If, CAL POLY's Jon Stevenson was still with us,... &,... if, the job offer for Jon to become an assistant to Gregory was true,... than,... IMHO, the Stevenson & Gregory show would be around for many years, raking in the championships. GoPOLY!!!

Adding to Pacific, Torres was a DS last year. Katy Tagart was the starting Opposite as a freshman. Also, they have a freshman Anne-Sophie Bauer coming in from France.

For these recent starters, I put the starting line-up for the last match of the season. Adding to Pacific, Torres was a DS last year. Katy Tagart was the starting Opposite as a freshman. Also, they have a freshman Anne-Sophie Bauer coming in from France. Anne-Sophie Bauer isn't a new player because she red-shirted in 2011

Not sure you'd find many Frenchwomen with Norwegian last names, but her big sis is one of the Top 5 MBs in all of Europe.

Hawaii posted their 2012 Roster today. Additions of Ali Longo (#4), Ashley Kastl (#5), Stephanie Hagins (#8), Tai Manu-Olevau (#10), Katie Spieler, and Sarah Mendoza. The mystery is that Elizabeth Blake (5'8 Sophomore Setter/Libero) has been removed from the roster but she played in the Spring against Nittaidai and Nebraska.

Competition wise, I think she realizes that her playing time will be very limited or not at all. Very stiff competition for libero and defensive specialists especially with the incoming girls.

Pairs of teams travel to other pairs. For instance, UCSB plays Pacific when Poly plays Davis. Then, the reverse happens. This happens for both away and home matches. When the travel partners play each other, there is often a chance to add a non-conference match into the open slot.
