I am guessing Lizzy Stemke and Colleen Bayer did, with most of the other people in town too busy obsessing over the release of the AP football poll. I hope that the scrimmage went well and the Bulldogs have a good season in volleyball.

Sorry for the bad news out of Gainesville. I hope the injury isn't serious. I think Tennessee was probably the favorite even before this, which is just strange to consider despite the success they have had there. It is just hard to stay on top forever. It's a good thing the SEC is getting stronger. Good for better runs into the NCAA tourney at some point. I'd put them in solid 3rd place overall as a conference. Still behind PAC and B1G, but slightly ahead of the Big 12, Big East and WCC. Not as much firepower at the top as those 3, but I'd put money on our top 7 teams taking a majority off any of those conferences top 7 in a "challenge" type of format.

This is what I thought Tennessee might look like: Setters: Mary Pollmiller, Bianca Arrelano Outside Hitters: Kelsey Robinson, Kayla Jeter Middle Blockers: DeeDee Harrison, Olivia Okoro, Shealyn Kolosky Right Side Hitters: Leslie Cikra, Tiffany Baker Libero: Ellen Mullins Defensive Specialist: Nikki Brice and Jasmine Brown 6-2 vs 5-1. I dunno. Baker @ Opp & Jeter @ RS? I dunno Where does Okoro fit into the competition at MB? I dunno Lots of options? Yes. Bianca Arellano looked very impressive at the UT scrimmage. I wasn't sure about running a 6-2 with how well Pollmiller did by herself last season but maybe it could be the stronger option.
On the website Jeter mentions she's switching to the right side this year.

She seemed in good spirits when she called into Mary's radio show under the name "Sarah" and asked Mary who her favorite player -- injured or not -- is. Mary played along, saying that would be like asking her to name her favorite child, before outing Noami. You could hear others laughing in the background.
Mary asked fans for patience, saying the team is very inexperienced and that she has no idea what the line-up will be. With added substitutions allowed this year, Mary said she may platoon a lot of players in and out.

While it sucks for Naomi to be out she can learn alot watching. She will be back stronger as well.

Santos-Lamb has a torn Acl and will miss the season. Tough break. That does stink! Better this year I guess, more playing time for the younger players will make the team stronger for next year. (trying to have a positive)

Wouldn't it be nice...
if the SEC would offer a subscription package to watch volleyball feeds of matches from its member institutions?
I would love to watch some of the matches in these pre-season tournaments, but can't justify paying the subscription fees for EACH of the school websites.
Anyone know if there will be any free video feeds of SEC matches this weekend?
