Mizzou and Auburn are out. Can't lose a match in the last weekend with a shaky resume and expect the committee to overlook it. Arkansas is still a little bubbly. Best wins are Kansas, Tenn & Kentucky, worst losses are Oklahoma, TAMU x2 & Auburn. Crucial that they end the season on a 5 match win streak....an L against either LSU or SC would be terrible for them. Arkansas' RPI is 27. Wouldn't that do it? What would a loss to LSU or SC do to that RPI? That's my point. It would knock them in to the mid-30 to high-40 range and make them solidly bubbly with a terrible loss in the final weekend. If they win 2, they are in. They can gain nothing this weekend, but can lose everything.

I didn't see A&M getting by Tennessee at home today. I think Aggies may have taken that last 16th seed from the Vols.

That or someone else will get it now. Still an outside shot based on resume but I'm not holding my breath.

Arkansas chokes at SC. Lets see if that costs a bid.

Working on my predictions for the SEC awards. Man, this year is tough! I've been doing this for my website for several years now and have gotten 12 out of 14 guesses right. This year I'm not sure about any of them except maybe coach!

Probably, the easiest of the player awards but I wouldn't completely count out Roxanne McVey

I would think Lauri Corbelli could have a shot at Coach of the Year, I think they finished much higher than expected, as did UF.

I call BS on McVey. If I'm picking a Libero for my team, she's the 8th or 9th I pick in the SEC. Her dig stats are totally skewed based on one weekend and having a team that couldn't block a high school team, which forces her to have to dig. I'd go with the above three and Klefot or Pendergast as Libero.

I don't agree with the good gator much but on this one I believe he's correct.

As I mentioned in the linked piece, I went with McVey because the coaches have almost exclusively just handed the award to the person who was tops in digs each year. Not saying I agree or not, but if I'm trying to predict what they're going to do I think a lot will just pull up that stat and fill in the ballot.
