Just received this email:
From: God [mailto:BiggDaddy69@heavanmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2012 11:06 AM To: Tom [mailto:TomClen420@sativa.com] Subject: Volleytalk favor
S'up Dawg? Hey, can you do me a solid?
I don't want to open a Volleytalk account here at the office. The IT guy is a total douche. But can you post something on this thread for me and tell your people to put some reasonable gun controls in place. I don't need you to ban guns, just control the frickin' things.
I mean, I'm not opposed to violence. You see some of that crap I put in the bible? You know, destroy all flesh wherein there is a breath of life. Kill every living substance. Fire and brimstone. Getting stoned. (Rocks, not weed.) Eye for an eye. All that sheeeaat.
And tell any jackass who keeps posting religious crap on a volleyball message board that I will respond: God, who is as strong as a unicorn, will eat up the nations, break their bones, and then pierce them through with his arrows. Numbers 24:8
Thanks, Yo.

Obviously, this was a terrible event and its hard to truly understand how this could happen or why someone would do this. The part that gets me the most is that usually when someone goes nuts and kills a bunch of people, they off themselves as well or don't care if the police shoot them afterwards, but yet in this case the guy wears full protection to make sure he lives through it but also freely gives himself up for arrest. I just can't imagine how someone would want to (and be able to) live with knowing what a tragedy they caused.

Dude, what was the point of this whole thread, including dredging it up again? Was it to talk about the shooting, or was it to brag about how you were praying for the victims? to post two articles by people who had intimate knowledge of the shootings and the aftermath. i found their insight interesting, and wanted to share. was that wrong? everything else has been in response to others' comments. why don't you ask ruff why he stirred things up? btw, there have been many threads on this board about people being injured or passing away, and most posters will comment that they are praying for those people. so in response to your rather bold insinuation that i might be "bragging" here, i ask you 3 questions: 1) do the people in aurora need prayer from others? 2) what is wrong with commenting that you are praying for people? 3) have you ever asked anyone else who comments that they are praying for others if they're "bragging" about it? they're not. i'm not. how ridiculous...

Your God is not my God. Go away. God is, was and will always be. And there is only one God. i believe you, ruff. question is, who is your God? you've told me many times that you do not believe that Jesus said what He said. you've also claimed many times that the Bible is not accurate. so where do you get your truth? where does your understanding of God come from? your intellect? your own brain's ability to understand? some other text? what do you believe -- and more importantly, why? i'm not picking an argument with you, ruff. these are serious, sincere questions. where does your understanding of God come from? who is your God?
