my daughter and I just watched the match we had dvr'd. we both thought Larson's right hand was hurt and she was shaking and saying it hurt.
did anyone else see that? (sorry in this is in the long US vs. China string, but I do not want to look through it all)

At what point did you see this? I watched the first set and really did not see anything.

I know what you mean, but I don't believe she is hurt. She might have hit her hand on the Chinese block, but nothing, especially at the end of the match when she clapped hand with her teammates, indicate that she is injured.

I did see her looking like she was in pain in the first set. Couldn't tell what it was and didn't notice anything after that.

The sub was right after Tom got aced on consecutive serves so I figured that Hugh was giving the Chinese a target to take the pressure of Tom and let her get her mojo back and then Larson would come back. Hodge played well so they just let her go.
Or I could be totally wrong.

Watched the replay last night. At 5-6 in the first game, Larson came down from taking a swing and was grimacing. Could not tell what caused it but she definitely looked like something was up.

I saw it too. After she came down she grimaced and was shaking her hand like she had a stinger. Hmm?

Larson is all about the team. It did look like she was waiting to go back in. Hodge looked good so Hugh kept her in. I would think whatever injury she has is minor. We will need her if we want to win the Gold, It was good to get Hodge and Scott quality time on the court.
