So apparently both Walsh and Ross acknowledged an interest in teaming up for 2016. Would Kerri be better with April or Nicole Branagh?
Can Summer Ross be ready for '16? Will she need to leave school to make it?
How about Rosie and Phil? Both are going to be in the market for a partner. If you are shopping for a digger, would you take Sean Rosenthal, Nick Lucena, or Casey Patterson?
Is there a big man close to Dalhausser that is going to be out there?

I think we're going to see Nick Lucena and Phil Dalhausser teaming up in 2013. They are awesome together. As for other teams, I wish I could see Casey Patterson and Matt McKinney trying out. On the women's side I wanna see beauty Morgan Beck (beauty queen 1) and Kaitlin Sather (beauty queen 2) trying out.

I have no doubt that next season we'll see Walsh & Ross. Ross would be a fool to pass up the opportunity to partner with Kerri Walsh.

I would prefer Kerri to find a more mobile defensive player but if not i'd prefer Nicole. April and Nicole are ok behind the block but still not as quick as id like.

Casey Patterson isn't anywhere near the defensive players Rosie and Nick are. I think Phil will go back to Lucena.
I worry Rosie might get left out and maybe a new team will take his place if he does not find a big blocker to compliment him. He teamed up with Patterson and won Aspen last year I wonder if that was some kind of precursor. Not sure how successful that team would be on an International Level.
Walsh and Ross would be a monster sideout team. Who would you serve?

Yea but can Ross dig well enough against the Chinese etc... otherwise it will be tough to go on runs. AlOT of times balls were hit right at her and they sailed into the stands etc.

When Misty and Kerri first started her passing was not good at all and she worked on it.

I mentioned this on the Beach forum, but I'll ask here too: does anyone think Logan Tom/Kerri Walsh is a possibility?
I know it didn't work out the first time Logan tried the Beach game, but ...

I'm not sure the reason she left the beach but remember her trying it. Those two would be a scary team. Logan's all around skills are great!

Logan has all the skills to suggest that she could become great on the beach.
I think she left beach because she had no chance of making the Beijing Olympics on the sand. I never understood why she didn't try playing in a big/big pair (No offense to Holly McPeak, but she was no longer a super-effective side-out player). Then again, the elite bigs were already in established pairs. Also, if I recall correctly, Tom had a tough time learning how to jump in sand. Her serve was great though.
I think you have to serve Walsh. Kerri is a fantastic bump-setter. Definitely the most over-looked part of her game, IMO. Nobody is better at putting a marginal pass just where the attacker needs it.

I hope the Branangh was a joke, while a very good/ great player in her prime, that prime is past. April would work, you wonder if she'll want to play with her sister Summer?? NO Idea about team 2, I think it will take at least a year before there is a favorite for who ever isn't paired with Kerri.
I don't really see Phil playing with Rosie, I don't think he is as steady as he needs to be. I hope Nick, but I think Casey is a real option, I think he sides out better than Nick with his size and has a good all around game. there are alot of under 26 guys competing right now. I think what happens with the AVP and the other domestic tours will influence the development of the players. Someone (a big) will have to bypass making more money playing indoor and commit to the beach full time. I can't wait to see if Todd opens up a camp, or becomes a coach, I think he could do wonders with someone with potential.

A couple of players I think may make big impacts. On the woman's side, Brooke Sweat is starting to really play ball- she might be a perfect compliment to Walsh...plays a really similar game to Misty- albeit she is kind of unknown right now... On the men's side, that big 7'2" kid- I think his name is Doherty- a project right now, but making huge improvements. I think he will be in the mix....

Logan left the beach for two reasons: First, and most importantly, she got offered a huge contract to play indoor for (I think) Dinamo Moscow. Second, she just wasn't getting results on the beach. She did try to go big-big, playing with the 6'4" Diane DeNicochea. Didn't work out. Logan had possibly the best serve on tour right out of the gate, but she struggled with her reads, her timing, and her conditioning. None of which is particularly unusual for an indoor player transitioning to sand, but it can frustrate the hell out of an indoor player used to success. It would take Logan two years full time on the beach to completely adapt. So if you're Kerri, do you take the time - and the risk - to break in Logan to the beach, or do you choose April Ross, one of the five best players in the world right now (plus, she's a bit younger than Logan, and already has a ton of FIVB points - something that shouldn't be overlooked). BTW, I have to disagree with Kro - April is an excellent defender behind the block (and would be even better behind Kerri, who takes away more court than Kessy), and much quicker than many people think.

Yes, Ryan Doherty AKA Avatar has had 3 1st place finishes domestically with Casey this year. Including a win over Phil and Todd. I will be interesting to watch his growth.
