Conference USA brings back it's conference tournament this year. Is there any chance that the conference can send two teams to the NCAA tournament besides Tulsa getting upset in the conference tournament? By the way, the conference tournament happens to be in Tulsa this year.

It doesn't look all that promising. Tulsa got swept by Arkansas last night, which isn't helpful to their at large chances. UCF is 0-3. I am not sure about the other contenders, but I don't remember any results that jumped out at me.

Rice also has a less than ideal start...

Rice also has a less than ideal start... And it's not going to get better with Purdue and Washington coming up this weekend.

CSUF (Fullerton) of the Big West beat SMU 3-0. SMU is now 1-2 after 3 matches.

Tournament winner is probably the only bid. Maybe Tulsa makes a case if they win the league but lose championship.

Big match this Friday. Rice at Marshall. Watched UCF play Cincinnati and Texas in September and they were pretty bad. Noticed they beat Tulsa last week, so it looks like a major down year for this conference. Any new teams coming to the conference after UCF, SMU, Houston and Memphis leave for the Big East next year?

Conference USA adds Charlotte, FIU, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Old Dominion and UTSA next year.

Marshall sweeps Rice 25-18, 25-20, and 25-22. Marshall is now in second place in CUSA. Not bad for a team that was picked to finish 11th in the conference.

Marshall lost to Houston in 4 sets today. We are now half way through the conference schedule. Which 8 teams will qualify for the conference tournament?

I think it is easier to predict now what teams will NOT make tournament... 1. East Carolina 2. Memphis 3. Tulane 4. Southern Miss
I think ECU and Memphis for sure

Took a look at the standings and some major moves by Houston and SMU the past couple of weeks.
