Just saw this and the 6'8" Ashley Harris headed to Arizona. Anyone know anything about her? I feel like Lutz takes most of the publicity for the incredibly tall on this forum

threeBagers on the First Team: Wilhite, Nelson and Carlini; with Blake as honorable mention. all atletes on first team will play in the Under Armor all-america match.
Read the criteria for becoming a nominee, and you will see that not all athletes are eligible.

Have to be a senior, have to be on the "watch list" first, coach has to nominate you and your coach has to enter your weekly stats on Max Preps. My observation is not many coaches do this.

I don't know anything of either, but they will be tall in the middle if both pan out!

The coaches have to input their stats into MaxPreps, which has public access. Many coaches do not do this, not because they are lazy, but because they feel that an opposing team will scout you through the stats. Our HS coach offered to input the senior girls stats into Maxpreps if they wanted to be considered for this award. The five girls who were on the "watch list" all declined thinking the stats would be used to gain insight on their team. I know a few other highly competitive coaches who also feel this way.

Katie Schau and Alexandra Palmer will make a great combo duo for Minnesota next year! Carlini and Wilhite are going to steer the Badgers on the right path also!

It's not always the list of the best players. It can be biased at times.

It's a really fun match to see. The players have seen each other a lot over the course of their club and/or USA volleyball years and it's the last time they'll see each other before they head off to the college of their choice. It's also an exciting weekend with the NCAA finals combined with it. It's really nice watching the future of volleyball playing one last fun match. Good luck to all the seniors out there, to all the nominees and to those who made the AA team. ENJOY! :-)

A first time chance for me to see most of these players. Always a blast to see all the new faces who will be entering the college vb scene.
