I always liked Poulter- I found this article www.aurorasentinel.com/sports/volleyball/ interestingly enough her top two choices were UCLA and Illinois and picked the year they went to the finals. Also, Foecke might go down as the #1 recruit based on "athletic ceiling", but IMO, this class is about the depth and talent of OH's. Any school that picks up a top 10 OH from this class won't be disappointed, IMO. I'm pretty sure Foecke played outside for Fusion this year, and is projected to play outside at Nebraska. Nebraska needs a legit AA in the middle...they haven't had one in a few years. Delano was solid, but her ceiling was exposed once Nebraska joined the Big 10 and the team faced top 25 competition every week. Nebraska needs another Elmer, a game changing MB. I don't see them even needing Foecke on the OH with the Rolfzens and the Haggerty's around for the next three years.

Couple months away, anyone wanna try and predict a Top 10 for 2015? See who can get the most. Here's my (probably terrible) attempt: Hodson, Poulter, White, Alexa Smith, Foecke, Morgan Johnson, Bedart-Ghani, Wallace-Ford, Rennie, Duello This is good. I think Foecke gets the #1 spot. Idk about Wallace-Ford though. The Senior Aces is usually a reflection of who has the most potential, and I'm not sure a 5'9" kid will garner too many votes in that regard. Conversely, everyone seems to love SSS so I wouldn't be surprised to see her up there, even though I tend to think she's overrated. Wisconsin and Purdue are getting some really good kids in the next two years. Tionna Williams could make a jump too. I think she's in the next tier right now, but has the potential to really be dominating. But she can sky though...I don't think she's a comparable player to Goehner, et al. Bangs with the best of them.

Well, an AA in the middle isn't a requirement to be successful, though it obviously helps. Hopefully the next two Haggerties make a little more of an impact in the future than Meghan made this past year. Maddie already has shoulder problems (corrected by surgery last December, hopefully), and Molly is taking a ton of swings in high school, club, and playing for USA teams, and I already think she doesn't have the most perfect hitting mechanics out there. Who knows. I hope they're very successful for Nebraska, but I think Albrecht will end up seeing more court over her career.

I'm not sure why you think Foecke should or would dive into the OH depth chart. Foecke should focus on the middle...imagine a 2016 starting lineup of seniors Kadie and Amber Rolfzen on the pins, Foecke and Fitmorriz in the middle, Maloney anchoring the backcourt, and being able to choose from either Haggerty or Albrecht to round out the hitting corps? All Nebraska is missing is a setter to tie it all together (which could be the ultimate achilles heal in then next four years) to replace Polmiller. Hunter is still young.

Not sure where I heard this, but Wisconsin recruit Tionna Williams is considered to be the top middle blocker recruit in the nation.

Because I know that she left Iowa Rockets for Fusion so she COULD play outside because that's where she's playing in college. I'm not saying that I think it's a good move, but that is what's happening.

If he wanted her to play middle, I imagine moving clubs in the middle of the season just to switch to a position she wouldn't play in college is something he would probably advise against.

Hodson's going to be #1 in this class.
Foecke's good but she doesn't have the athletic ceiling that other middles like Alhassan or Fitzmorris do (yes I know they're not in the same class). Same can be said about Alexa Smith and Savannah Rennie.
Bedart-Ghani will definitely be top 3.
Wallace-Forde is not going to do anything at USC. I think she'll eventually switch over to sand volleyball.

And by the way, I predicted that Alhassan would be #1 last year and I'd just like to put it in writing that I think she'll be better than Haleigh Washington by the time she leaves Florida.

How will you compare them? By wins/losses, national championship rings, or AA rankings. Everyone knows that Penn State VB players almost never lead the nation in any stat categories. Please correct me if I am wrong. Could you educate me about Alhassan's play?
