I watched the match (you can find a replay on sportube).... it wasn't that good of a match. Conegliano is a much more talented team but played very sloppily. Gibby didn't really get going and Lloyd was hot and cold. Logan started with some easy kills but wasn't able to put the ball on the floor and was surprisingly shaky in serve receive. She also seemed to have trouble communicating with her libero. The Romanian opp for Ornovasso could be a player if she gets a little moer polished. The hitting stats are actually very, very inflated (by virtue of total attempts being way undercounted - about 120 per team in a 5 set match where long rallies were the norm - this happens regularly in Ornovasso home games). Here's the link to Set 1, you can find the rest by searching the name on Sportube: sportube.tv/ondemand/watch_video.php?v=5C9D94D7D98E

Any updates on Kristy Jaeckel? I think the french league quarterfinals are coming up, but I have no idea if it'll be online anywhere.

It was fun to watch Carley's and Gib's match. I think #14 on their team will be a good player in the years to come. Thanks for the information on Kristy Jaeckel's game. Use to like watching her college.

It was just announced that Destinee Hooker was released from Criollas de Caguas due to under performance.

So you have the biggest star in the game on your team and you let them go? It's more complicated than that. She arrived in PR with an ankle injury which her manager (her father) failed to inform them of prior to negotiations. They initially wanted to annul the contract immediately but they reached an agreement that they would evaluate her play and if she performed to her capability they'd keep her. She hasn't shown anything near to what she's capable of. Teams don't pay for star power, they pay for performance and she wasn't performing. Karina Ocasio came back from Korea and in a single match produced what they needed and at a much more reasonable price I'm sure.

I don't follow Destinee that closely, she had a baby recently, right? Has she been back playing at a high level since then? Unfortunately, the only thing I've really heard about her recently has been this news about her being let go and the whole drama with her family calling out her husband/bf on facebook for being abusive. I hope she can get past all of that and get back into top form for the Olympics.

Hooker needs to get it together. Seems like a lot of drama surrounding her.

Rabita vs Igtisadchi
McClendon getting targeted successfully on reception a lot, subbed by 5' 9" Apinyapong in every set I believe.
Strange to see Tomkom playing against her NT, and interesting to see her run a high ball offense which we never saw before.

I watched the semi finals between Amil and Unilever. Great match to watch. Hard hitting and great blocking from both team. Kristen played really well for her team, her defense both blocking and passing will definitely help team USA. I wonder if she will play opposite for USA.
