I'm comfortable with the middles (Arruda and Harmotto). I'm really concerned about the rest of the team. I don't think we have the firepower to compete with the Russians and the Brazilians, especially with this roster. There isn't anyone that is remotely close to the level of a Larson or Tom, let alone Hooker.

In 2009 team USA got KILLED at WGP and didn't even make the final round. Thailand beat them for the first time ever. That team turned out just fine. And we have more than enough firepower to compete with the Russians. Brazil, maybe not.

Newcomb, Klineman, Hildebrand (who did well against the Brazilian A team last summer in Grand Prix, I believe)and Faucette can put the hits down. Passing is the big issue, of course. Fawcett, Murphy and Bergsma should represent at Opposite. Best chance is that other countries also send the B team.

I'm interested to see how Richards performs in this tournament. Hodge isn't going to be there so she'll most likely be the O1. Wonder how she'll handle the pressure.
Also wonder how Fawcett's going to do against good teams. I can see her struggling against Brazil/Russia. I predict that Murphy will come in and play well.
This is going to be a big tournament for Klineman.
