We can simulate zero-gravity on the ground? I thought that had to be done, seconds at a time, in an airplane taking a steep nosedive.

not clear how cgi's going to help with live actors simulating zero-gravity. but, yeah, that's gotta be part of it. still thinking it's lots and lots on thin wires.

Have you not previously heard of CGI? Well obviously I have, but that's not what "simulated space" first made me think of.

Really good movie. The Oscar counter-campaign against it was pretty low.
Not sure it's 100% historically accurate, but a really good movie.

Yep. They destroyed any chance it had by portraying it as pro-torture (which it wasn't).
Things get pretty underhanded come Oscar season.

Nope. But it did. It went from frontrunner to no-chance-runner over the space of two weeks.
Hollywood is not without its biases, even I will admit that.
I can't even remember what won, except that it wasn't nearly as good. Google. Oh, yeah. Argo. Hollywood loves movies like Argo.

Even when it's only about making a fake movie.
