Yeah, it won't make any difference at Arizona....Rubio couldn't work with the talent he has if his life depended upon it....just look at some of the talent that has come through his program and then look at what he has to show for it....not much! |

Shoji dancin at this weeding reception. Wow, life really is different in Hawaii. I spent an hour or so weeding today, and I didn't get a reception. usually, i just get drunk at weddings. wait---what are we talking about?? |

No open bar should have been my first clue. And I'm in Hawai'i as we speak. I can verify that life is different in Hawai'i. |

We do know Dave went to great deal of effort to recruit Crosson and she always said Hawaii was the place she wanted to be at. Her parents were 1000% behind the decision to go there.
Once she was set free and able to determine how she ran her life, became responsible for her own decisions and how she mentally prepared to enter college and play D! volleyball, Crosson began to spin out of control. She became her own worst enemy.
The Hawaii volleyball program and school did everything possible to help Crosson. However Crosson decided not to help herself and continued to spiral out of control. This was her decision and hers alone. She was given plenty of chances but passed and became a detriment to the team. Why all this happened is another thread page.
It is one thing to grant a player a waiver when there is a mutual respect and understanding. However in this case it seems rather one sided that Crosson simply thumb her nose at the coach, players and school. There comes a time in life when you need to be held accountable for your decisions and how you act. She is simply feeling the consequences of how she treated the school, coach and her teammates.

There were other schools in play during her recruitment, most notably LBSU. None of that is particularly relevant, though. Croson leaving Hawaii was a good decision for her, and frankly a good decision for the Hawaii program. Sometimes a fresh start is best for everyone. I know Dave's rationale for denying a release, and while I don't necessarily agree 100% with it, I respect his position. Not surprised he is apparently reconsidering, either. Let it go. |

Lots of kids find that their interests and goals change between the time that they are deciding on colleges and the time they graduate from college. The decision to take a new direction (especially at that age) is not an idication that one's life is "spiraling out of control." |

It could indirectly help Hawaii's RPI.
Arizona with Croson playing is going to get more wins than Arizona playing without Croson.
The better Arizona's win/loss record, the better for Hawaii's RPI.
just a thought, not that it should be relevant in considering the waiver.

The observation was 100% correct -- the more Arizona wins this year, the more benefit that Hawaii will get for having scheduled them. |
