Did that coach leave on day two of preseason? Or poor managerial planning by the admin? How does this job get posted in season? Crazy

I think there might be three - Winthrop. Last I heard they had one assistant. Well, they had two again...but the new assistant coach left after being there for a week. Anyone know what's going on with all of the assistants there bolting after five minutes? How many is this now that have been at Winthrop under the current head coach? And why are they all leaving? Is he breaking rules, is he pushing too hard (or not hard enough), is it just plain bad luck? I have no idea what's going on, but 8 assistants in less than 2 years seems like a problem.

Does anyone have any info on this school & program? why is this position open so late? revolving door?? I'll take a shot: Tiny college in the southwest corner of Vermont. Only about four buildings, one of them a high-school-ish gym. Bennington is a cute town, about an hour and a half to Albany. Big thing to remember is this: Vermont is the only state in the country with no high school volleyball. You aren't getting local recruits. Two coaches ago, they had a guy who wanted to make it work, and he did. On the women's side, he brought in an ENTIRE TEAM of California juco transfers. A couple of them could play. I suspected those girls weren't paying a lot to go to college, but thats only because I'm bitter and old. He left for a better job, kind of late in the cycle last year, was replaced by ? who didn't make it work, and here they go again. Job has been filled on an "Interim" basis. www.svcathletics.com/information/2014-15/alvarez_interim_vb_announcement

He is assisting at Hillcrest HS, one of the top HS volleyball programs in South Carolina. Didn't get to ask him what happened, though.

Not Me, thanks for putting the list together. Are there any schools currently operating without a head coach? I know there had been some openings that had not been filled yet. Interim coaches not included as an interim is better than no coach at all at this point.

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, the last I heard, does not have a HC. And there are none listed on the web site.
