Laramie was open last year as well. What's the issue there? I know they want to interview in person and you have to pay for your own flight..not sure if that's a deterrent for applicants.

Wow, pay for your own flight, just for a chance to get a job? Do they reimburse you if you don't get hired? Seems to me they don't really want to put any time or effort into that program. AD: We think you have great qualities for the job here, and we would like you to fly in for an interview. Candidate: Really? Thank you. What qualities do you think fit best for your program? Is it my experience with high level volleyball? Is it my time I put in with USAV? AD: That, and the fact that you have enough money to pay for your own flight here, and possibly your own hotel room during the stay. You DO have enough room on your credit card for that, don't you? Cand: Im not sure, I will have to check on that. AD: And, while youre at it, we would like you to fundraise for your salary as well. The range we said was $40-50K per year. You can raise that, cant you? Cand: (crickets chirping) AD: Hello? Are you there? Hello? Well, I didn't think she was the best person for the job anyway. Next candidate should be a trust-fund baby. Gladys! Go get me the resumes. I need to do some homework and find us a trust-fund baby! Dang Gen-Y candidates....

I remember back in the day I was asked to pay for my flight from California to a top private college in NCar., to interview for a job I wanted.
When I said I would pay for the flight, as I really wanted the job, they then said they would reimburse me ...and they did.
I think this might be a way to find out who really WANTS the job in question.

When I was asked last season to interview, they never gave the inclination that they will be reimbursing me for the flight. They called on a Friday and wanted to interview the following Wednesday. "Suuure, I can drop everything to spend $2k for potentially moving to the middle of nowhere.." Perfect ideas.

Don't be surprised to see a young Tiger find their way North to Charlotte.

Little isn't THAT young is she? I mean it was probably 03 or 04 that she left North Carolina and I feel like she's been at LSU for at least that long.

No I did not get the job.
But, I saw the position listed open again the following year....They should have hired me in the first place....apparently who they hired didn't work out.
By then I had moved on to a nice job.
