I remember back in the day I was asked to pay for my flight from California to a top private college in NCar., to interview for a job I wanted. When I said I would pay for the flight, as I really wanted the job, they then said they would reimburse me ...and they did. I think this might be a way to find out who really WANTS the job in question. The problem with THIS approach is that in other chair, if the school isn't willing to pay the travel expense of a candidate, it sends a message that: a) we don't really care about our program. b)we really aren't that interested in you as a candidate. Lastly, I don't want to work at a place where they play these "games" anyway. Just be straight forward, both sides, get some integrity and the grow the F up! Would this EVER happen in a sport they cared about?

Kenyon College (DIII) is open.
The team finished fifth in the NCAC conference tournament, after being ranked seventh going into the tournament.
Katie Charles did a great job building the program but I guess that wasn't enough for the administrators.

Katie Charles did a great job building the program but I guess that wasn't enough for the administrators. Not sure what constraints she was under recruiting, budget etc (cannot discount that), but I would hardly call what she did as a "great job building the program". She never got to .500 in 6 seasons and had 4 wins this year. Programs have their ups and downs but she really did not have much of an "up". There were two years that she was above 10 wins. In her defense though, I doubt the admin put in the $ needed to be as successful as they want.

Georgia St. (DI, GA) is looking for a new Indoor Head coach.
Interesting that her husband is still listed as Associate Head coach on the roster, although she was removed.
"Tami Audia will not return as Director of Volleyball and head court volleyball coach as her contract was not renewed, Georgia State Director of Athletics Cheryl L. Levick announced Thursday.
Effective immediately, Audia will be reassigned as a special assistant to the director of athletics through the end of her contract, which expires April 18, 2014. A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
The Georgia State volleyball team ended its season last weekend with a 9-23 overall record and a 4-14 mark in its first season in the Sun Belt Conference. The Panthers, who did not make the eight-team Sun Belt tournament, were 41-75 in four years under Audia."

Not sure Pitt State qualifies as a job opening, I think it's going to be Coach Mueller's to lose, and they have already named her the Interim Head Coach.

Fordham (DI, NY) posted for an assistant. position is PT ...again? 3 assistants in 3 years? I know there was a new coach, but c'mon. It's a part-time position. People in those roles often either move to a FT somewhere else, or get out as the pay/benefits vs. hours is not very conductive to sanity unless you've got some money in the bank.
