Who's Mitchem? Who else do we have for 2015 coming in? Annie mitchem. Junior college POY. Number 16 out of highschool for the class of 2013. She was recruited by uh and nebraska but due to academics couldn't go to either school. She's a beast MB and sources say she will come for sure in 2015. Annie had 309 kills with 3.64 kills per set, hitting at .436 and 1.61 blocks per set. The only other recruit I know is Casey Castillo Those are lofty stats for a MB....productive on offense and defense and efficient. Hope she really comes. Will she have 2 years of eligibility or one?

Have you even seen McKenna play besides some videos up on youtube?? She is a fabulous recruit, and will be very very good in college. I have seen McKenna play, and she reminds me of Tai. We know how Tai is turning out playing D1. You are clueless.

Granato seems like a "project" type player, but seems to be ahead of Tai just based on her serve receive and serving. Her hitting doesn't seem too dynamic, but that's something she can easily work on.

McKenna, is NO Kanani Danielson, and that is the only kind of Outside Hitter the Wahine need to get locally. Or, a tall Outside Hitter, like Nikki Taylor. For McKenna to change my mind, she needs to Dominate the local High School rank, the way Kanani did. What I am saying is, McKenna has not even won a High School Player of the Year award, yet.

That's a high hitting percentage, granted d1 is a whole different level, she was still the #16 senior coming out of highschool. I think she had over 200 more kills then the next closest person

Why can't she come next season? lol! Would love to see her in action as a Wahine if she does decide to come.

As you all might have heard Shoji is returning for another year, so that's a positive. I see the first three or four tournaments as a transition time to see who can deliver and fit into the chemistry, before heading into the BW season. A new setter in Tayler Higgins, who in my opinion will make people forget Mita Uiato real quickly, and question marks in who will best fit in the OH2 and Libero positions.

Agree, I hate to say this, but I won't miss uiato that much. She had a average senior year, that bordered on being below average. She's easy to fill and higgins will be even better. Longo will be harder but I think kahakai or Mendoza can do it. Hartong will be the hardest to replace, but I think Nikki can do it with practice.

How do the Wahine feel about Nikki Taylor passing for 6 rotations?

How do the Wahine feel about Nikki Taylor passing for 6 rotations? I like it. She showed she is a pretty good passes in the last part of the season. And with oractice could improve tremendously.

From what I seen in her high school video's and from the later part of the season, she'll do just fine as I assume she'll work on that throughout spring. Also, her backrow was not that shabby either for someone 6'3. Can she be the next Willoughby - someone started on the right, but should've been OH2, then being the primary weapon her sophomore year? I'm just kidding, no one can be the "next" anyone.

My concern now becomes, if Olevau does go on a mission, Hawaii's OH depth is very thin.
6'3 Taylor 6'2 Greeley 5'11 Long 5'9 Passi
I would make Huff take some reps as OH in case someone gets hurt, suspended, plays poorly. If Long is the replacement for any of these players, yikes!

Nikki passes better than Tai and she proved it after Shoji finally switched Nikki and Tai in the rotation. Shoji with his old habits was hesitant into having Nikki play back and left Olevao in way too long. He's probably thinking Tai is quicker and Nikki being 6'4 and slower. I see Nikki as having a higher IQ and better instinct in playing the back then Tai.
