It's easy to say next year he passing will improve. But other than Kisner and Jennings, Texas has had a string of next-big-thing back row recruits whose skills were great at the HS/JO level but didn't hold up under the concentrated pressure of top 10 Division I competition that Texas sees on its schedule every year.

I wouldn't say Palmer was the next best thing. Although I will say I'm not expecting a huge spike in backcourt defense. It will be better than this year though. With the ball control abilities of Dalton, Baker, and McCoy, I believe there will be a slight improvement.

Congrats to Orie! She joins MB Blair Westerlund and OH Abby Buckingham.
I still can't figure out who our setter targets are for 2016 . . .

Although I am taking some solace in the fact that McCoy is ranked roughly 30 spots higher plus was a libero in HS. Not disagreeing with you, just think it might help some with footwork and stuff.

I think you both will be pleasantly surprised. Understand the conservatism...so won't it be nice when your expectations are exceeded. I wouldn't bet the farm on the "rankings". Texas defense will see a meaningful uptick this coming season.

It's too bad they couldn't coordinate the match at Gregory with the spring football game.
