Not fan of Zombie movies either. Give me something realistic like True Blood!

Although not a TV series, I feel compelled to say that Night of the Living Dead (1968) is the bomb!

I need to withdraw my recommendation of United States of Tara. First season was pretty good and plot looked promising. Second season is a train wreck. Makes me think Diablo Cody quit writing it.

Siberia was a pretty good show. They left the season with the BIGGEST cliff hanger and they might now renew it.

Depends on your definition. She wrote 5 of the 12 season 1 episodes, then the season 2 premiere and co-wrote two other season 2 episodes. She also wrote the season 3 premiere. She's credited as an executive producer in all 3 seasons.

Just awful. Right there with Glee for shows from an alternate universe, with really, really bad writing.

I like Jane Lynch only in Criminal Minds, not in Glee or that Hollywood game show crap she's currently hosting.

I viewed Pillars of the Earth this weekend in its entirety. It has a Game of Thrones feel to it, primarily because of similar war of succession themes during the Dark Ages. It moves a bit too fast for my taste, but it's okay. Not great.

Veep is very funny. No zombies. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is brilliant in VEEP.
The show is outstanding. I don't think any current comedy comes close to this show.

The Americans on FX is really good. KGB agents living the American life during the Ronald Reagan era. Just finishing up its 2nd season.

Just awful. Right there with Glee for shows from an alternate universe, with really, really bad writing. How on earth does Glee stay on TV? Because glee pulls huge numbers and has a HUGE fan base. A tv show can be crap, but if it pulls good numbers and sells a lot, the network will keep it. For example there is a show called bad girls club on oxygen. It's trash. It's girls staying in a house, fighting drinking and just acting a mess. But it's a huge show and their number one show for oxygen, so it stays.

Really all a TV show has to do is reliably deliver a target audience to advertisers and have a good ratio of advertising income to production cost. Whether or not the show is any good is irrelevant to whether it stays on TV. ( Cupid 1998 version, I'm thinking of you!) Also, sometimes it can be screwed over by the network folks and not really be given a chance to succeed. ( Firefly, I'm thinking of you!)
