I'm on Season 3 of Supernatural. For some reason, I really like this show. At times, it's just silly and shallow. Mostly, it's pretty absorbing. Sam is such a whiny little girl and Dean is so smug and goofy and kinda badass (in a dorky way).
I don't really like Lauren Cohan (Bela Talbot) in Supernatural, but I like her in Walking Dead. The British accent sounds fake even though it's not (apparently, she grew up in England).

In my queue:
Under the Dome (Season 1) True Detective The Following
Some of the recommendations in the above posts are good. I'll get to them when they're available on DVD.

I had no idea that Netflix is now producing its own content. I guess they are on the same track as premium cable movie channels (HBO etc.), who originally started just showing theatrical movies and then started producing more and more of their own content.

You'll soon learn why she's like that though.

Under the Dome has a Lost feel: a group of people with hidden pasts isolated from the rest of the world and struggling to survive. It also has a post-apocalyptic feel -- Jericho, Revolution. And, finally, it has a Truman Show feel.

Under the Dome -- finished the first season. My beef with this show is that it changes too much too soon and offers bizarre plot events that seem rather...well...stupid and uninteresting. And, of course, when the kids talk to that "alien" (in the form of Alice, the mother of Elinore), the alien doesn't give any useful concrete information. She just disappears just when the good questions are about to be asked. Ugh...hate when that happens! Dean Norris (who played Hank Schrader in Breaking Bad) is good, but I feel this role is beneath him.

If useful, concrete information is given right away, the show's creators know there may not be a 2nd season . . .

Hi gang, I need your recommendations for TV shows to rent via DVD/Blu-Ray. I've just finished Breaking Bad and the second season of Game of Thrones. I'm also on the eighth (and final) season of Dexter. I'm waiting for the latest seasons of Downton Abbey, Homeland, and Falling Skies (although the second season sucked IMO) to be available on DVD. Okay, fire away. And, remember, only quality TV shows, not your usual crap. Thanks, in advance. The new Falling Skies sucks even worse!!! Try Helix, Walking Dead, Continum for science fiction For Oldies, try Boston Legal- much better than good wife!! Black List is pretty interesting new series Homeland ofcourse

My new favorite is Botched a reality series about two Hollywood surgeons who specialize in plastic surgery "rescues". Currently watching a Janet Dickinson episode although there are other patients too. Full disclosure I have had plastic surgery on my nose broken playing volleyball - went well great result but very painful and it cured me of any desire to have other "work" done.

Just thought of another one! The new series Tyrant is so far exceptional!! If it continues, it will perhaps shed light into the psychie of the Middle Eastern men and the ignorance of the average Americans on how they think and operate....

Watching House of Cards (season 1) w/ the wife. This is my second time. I watched it alone in the daytime several months ago b/c the wife didn't want to watch it. Then, the wife changed her mind recently, so we're now watching it together. The wife -- and women in general -- always changes her mind. Drives me nuts.
Watching it again, I remembered how much I enjoyed the Peter Russo storyline. It started out uninteresting -- bad boy politician busy with drugs/alcohol/sex -- but got better with several key twists and turns. The actor who plays Russo does a great job.
