They're still real high on Larson, but her offensive skills far exceed her defensive skills at the moment. For a middle, you usually want to start with superior blocking ability, so that's why she isn't being immediately penciled into a spot yet. The problem is, all of the Husker middles are talented, but none of them have shown a complete skill set yet. Keil is probably closest, but she's also the smallest of the middles. Haggerty has a lot of skill and high VB IQ, but her athleticism needs to improve (we still don't know how her off-season training will translate), Hall is the best athlete overall, especially given her size, but she also is the most raw in terms of skills. The Huskers have quality options, but two of them need to step up and show an overall skill set to contribute consistently. Again, as someone who has seen Nebraska play in person, Kiel is taller than Kira Larson. No she's not. Very close to the same size but not taller. And she doesn't have the hops that Larson does. I will say this, Kira is definitely not the 6'3" she's listed at, and I don't know how they arrived at that figure. FWIW; I'm pretty sure I saw them in person a time or two more than you.

For the speculation on Kira Larson's height; Here is a lift from the Husker's 2013 team's schedule poster. Shot on a level floor - you can follow the brick lines to compare heights from the the girls shown. Kira is #15 on the far left. With the Huskers only loosing 1 starter (Robinson), it will be interesting to see how they use Kira, and at what position. That's not even close to being an accurate way to compare their size. Using that logic, Kira is as tall or taller than C.C. I've stood an arms length away from her and she is, at the most 6'1". At the most.

Seems like the only confirmed starters are really Kadie, Amber, Mary, and Justine. Everything else seems like its up for grabs IMO, that's an accurate assessment.

What? She was a Second-Team All-American as a freshman, but she won't be one of the best outsides as a sophomore? That makes no sense. You don't even know the accolades of the girl you're so high on. She was a THIRD TEAM AA. And I'm the one who makes no sense? She will have to compete with megan courtney, haley eckerman, krista vansant, alexa gray, samantha Bricio, jordan burgess (who should of been at least third team but wasn't eligible because her region has some of the best players). She definitely has a shot the following year, but IMO next year, she won't be one of the top OH IMO, if Kadie stays healthy she'll be one of the best in the country.

Burgess wasn't eligible, and Courtney didn't even make HM All-Region. Rolfzen was recognized as one of the best outsides last season. What about her freshman year leads you to believe that she won't be one of the best as a sophomore? Becayse she's competing with too many great OH. I never once said she wouldn't be good, or that she wouldn't be great. But when you're competing against the best, it's hard for you to be the best. IMO, to say one of the best in the nation, that means top five in the nation. Last year that was hartong, Robinson, eckerman, vansant, and henning. They were recognized as first team AA for a reason. Next year IMO the best OH will be vansant, eckerman, burgess, Bricio and gray. Kadie defiantly has great potential, but compared to the OH next year, she won't be one of the best.

I think my main problem is he claims I don't make sense, yet doesn't even know what award she received

While it won't surprise me if she is one of the top five, that might be a stretch. Top 10? I'd guess yes for sure.

She defanitely will be a top ten OH, but I guess I just judge "best" differently than most people. But I wouldn't be suprised if I'm wrong, because kadie is an amazing player

Was basing it off what the avca has her listed as. Oh well. Guess I was wrong. Still, I'm not a Missouri fan. You're a nebraska fan and you so high on kadie, and you don't even know her all american accolade

Fun problems to have. I know Amber is an exceptional blocker which makes her move from the right side difficult, but I would love to see her at the L2. She and Kadie are incredibly quick and use their angles well. I think you would see two incredible powerhouses on the outside for NU. I am curious about Larson. It will be interesting to see her thrown in the mix.

Whatever the case may be, my point is that Larson's height is grossly exaggerated. I was really surprised at how (relatively) small she was. But again, very good athlete.

I did briefly meet them and it seem Kiel was a few inches shorter? They were not standing together however so who knows?
