Sorry I missed it, but what's going on with Haggerty and her own conditioning program? I think more is being made out of it than should. But her issue isn't getting stronger, its improving her overall fitness level. She was on a different program than the group, with the focus being on her fitness level, quicker, leaner, instead of bigger stronger. As athletes have different challenges, certainly their strength and conditioning program should be adapted for them. Certainly her needs would be different than say Kira Larson, That's the case here. Agreed, it makes sense. I just find it admirable that a player would recognize this deficiency - one of fitness, which is a little more personal/embarrassing than one of, say, needing to jump higher - and make a plan to address it in order to hopefully get more playing time. Others in her position might just ride the pine.

Why wasn't Cook in attendance at Saturday's match? Was there a prep tournament this past weekend?

I think it's going to be another bleak streak for Nebraska in the years to come. Besides Kadie, there isn't another clear terminator on the squad. Perhaps they'll develop Amber into a consistent right-side attack to help balance the offense, or a big name transfer will come in and make an immediate impact.
I remember years ago when Nebraska used to be known for their attack and especially their block, but the Husker offense has seemed fairly one-dimensional the past few seasons.

And this is relevant because? Nebraska reveuits who they want and is highly doubt they care what race the person is. And I'm not trying to sound rude at all, but there have been quite a few people on this board that have said nebraska fans and the program are racist. There has been no indication of this and these type of questions always end up bad. Just clearing that up.

Everything I post you quote me, then tell me I'm wrong or attack me in someone. It's seriously getting creepy and I suggest you seek professional help for that.

It's not like they haven't tried. Hodge, Webster, Eckerman, Bannister, just to name a few were all players that Nebraska tried to get, or so I've heard.

Orie Agbaji was the most recent, but Texas edged the Huskers for her commitment. If anything, the burden of explanation lies with the recruits. Nebraska has recruited many African-American players and have been close to landing some very prominent ones, but in the end they choose to go elsewhere. While it's true that Lincoln isn't racially diverse, the other women's sports at UNL have many African-Americans, so it's not a cultural thing.

Hooker was also down to Nebraska and Texas. The recurring theme is that it seems to come down to Nebraska and Texas, minus Hodge.

Is it possible it's a cultural thing within the volleyball program?
For example a lot of high school female athletes who play basketball or run track are black, so it wouldn't be unusual for these Nebraska programs to have black athletes.
Just asking.

Just asking.I think it might just take one person to commit. Who that person will be remains to be seen.
