Erskine is going to have trouble with the bigger teams. They run their offense so close to the net and flat. If they serve #11, it will be that much easier. He is not a very good passer.

Erskine just does not make any errors. Sad because I believe Pfeiffer and Mt. Olive were better. This was a down year for schools like Mt. Olive, Pfeiffer, Limestone, and Lees-McRae as they lost key players from last years team plus just were not as good as years past. Erskine just recruited one more outside from Puerto Rico that can put the ball away and is very consistent that helped them get to where they are. They got good at a very great time, where the other top schools from the conference were just struggling because of not having those guys that they used to have.

Well, the 8 to 0 run to come back in 3rd set for Mount Olive made it exciting but Erskine has been the better team consistently. UMO, graduation hit them hard this year even with Angel. Hope Erskine represents well and realizes 5 years ago there was no conference, only Lees McCrae and Mount Olive playing road warriors begging for games against the big boys. Remember that Erskine when you take the court in Chicago, you represent a conference that was built so you could rise at the right time. Make the conference proud and the past players who built it.

He is not a very good passer. they will have trouble but it is not like they will get destroyed just look at the Erskine results agains big teams. lost in Loyola close last 2 sets, did not play 2 of their starters took lewis to 4 sets in a very close match all around. close match vs Penn State without their libero. close match with saint francis without their libero. beat Cal. Bap. University in 5. I do not think that they will win in their play in match, but I do not think that they will have the trouble that some think they will. go into those matches box scores and see they hit good hitting % against these teams. their offense is not their problem, it's their blocking and serving errors.

Honestly, of those teams who played their starters the whole game? I believe the only team that did was St.Francis. They either had back setter or back up hitters. Nothing agaisnt them just observations and thoughts!

Penn State and Saint Francis played their starters, Loyola played most of its starters ( setter, middles, right side) I'm just saying, they won't have as much trouble getting kills as you might think.
