So I see a Wisconsin/Maryland v. SC/Washington rotating 4 year tourney has been set up, like the UCLA/Stanford v. Penn State/Illinois effort. Does anyone know if the Oregons v. Michigans weekend that happened last year is continuing? And any other B1G v. Pac 12 matches?s I think it's great, although others might think it's promoting elitism.
Maryland has the new coach, right? Talk about masochism, adding SC and Washington to the regular B1G schedule, for four years.

While not a rotating tournament between teams, Nebraska is hosting the AVCA showcase this year with Stanford and Florida State (not sure who the 4th team will be, unless they are just going to do a triangular tournament), so there is another B1G/Pac-12 matchup.

I don't necessarily think it's promoting elitism. Good teams want to play good teams and it's good for the sport. Teams get excited and so do the fans. It's a win-win situation for all.

I wonder if that last team will be Texas. I know they like to schedule tough

Elitism? I suppose you'd rather see the best teams mop up the court with cupcakes -- and then you'd complain about that.

Nebraska plays Texas at the "Bob" as their last non-conference foe so Texas will not be at the showcase unless they would not play each other.

The four teams are Nebraska-Stanford-Florida State-Iowa State.

I say just have BIg and PAC 12 play all eachother in preseason and non of these cupcakes. Just rotate who plays who in the conferences every year lol

Feel for Wisconsin - having to go face USC/Wash., with Maryland as their traveling partner from the B1G. I think I know who USC/Wash. will spend more time prepping for.

I must say that I was excited for UW to finally get someone decent to come to Seattle for preseason. Getting decent teams to come here is almost impossible so for at least one year we get at least one good team to come play UDub (USC doesn't really count since they will just play Maryland and Wisky).

It'll be nice for Sheff & Co. to enjoy a sunny warm Seattle, unlike their last trip in December.
