I'm wondering why anyone would want to play for these coaches and SJSU given their lack of integrity. Buyer beware.

Does anyone remember the San Jose associate head coach as a player for the USA National Team in 2000 and 2001?

Is it just me or is there generally something creepy about husband/wife coaching teams? When I've looked at the Rosens, Kreklows, etc, they just make my skin crawl. Let's not forget the Pawlikowskis. The Pawlikowskis seem pretty tame. Also Christy Johnson-Lynch and Mr. Lynch (Joe?).

What is so creepy about husband and wife coaches? There are lots of them with varying degrees of success and longevity.

When given the opportunity to paint completely unrelated people with a broad brush, and put them down, why not? Especially when you're complaining about the non ethical behavior of others.

I just think it is sad they have waited until late April to do this. You knew what you were doing when you got to the school. Have respect for the players you are getting rid of and give them a chance to have time to find a school. Waiting until after sand shows that you don't care about the kids you are releasing.

I really do not want to stand up for the coaches at SJSU, because I think it is poor timing and disrespectful to do what they have done. But is it possible they wanted to give the players the Spring season to make an evaluation of the players to see if they wanted to keep any of them? Rather than just telling them early in Spring that they would be asking them all to leave the program without really getting an evaluation of them? I know I hate being turned down by a girl when she hasn't even had a chance to get to know me. I know this is what they did at CSUB as well, but I have to think somewhere in their minds that rationality entered and they thought that getting rid of everyone would not be good for their reputation as a program and recruiters. But after watching their team play this Spring, they decided to go ahead and tell everyone to leave. And giving the players an immediate deadline to sign the release, instead of a week or two does give the players a little more time to find somewhere to go if they wish.

While everyone is jumping on the coaches, they can not pull this off without the cooperation of the administration, both athletic and otherwise, that is the travesty of it all.

IMO these coaches are lazy and I have lost respect for them. A really great coach can find a way to improve and make a team more successful. It just takes more work. Good coaches can bring out the best in their athletes. They can bring out more than other coaches could with the same athlete. I see it all the time. I have had teams that were very talented. Of course it is very easy to win with those teams. I have also had teams that were "talent" challenged. I was still able to find a way to get them to win. It takes way more effort, intensity and passion but it can be done. I hope these girls all find new schools.

I can understand your rational but we play 4 spring tournaments and have practices since January. I feel like after 2 months even of training you will have a pretty good idea if you want to keep this kid or not. Also if you are getting rid of a WHOLE team then you already had it in your mind what you were doing IMO.

I'm wondering why anyone would want to play for these coaches and SJSU given their lack of integrity. Buyer beware. Because parents and kids get blinded by the attention and the offer of a full ride. "Of course, that would never happen to me..."

"Of course, that would never happen to me..." Let's be honest. If a girl is getting an offer from SJSU than they probably have had other offers as well. Now that these 2 coaches have pulled this junk twice, I could see kids/parents not buying everything they are selling. Who would trust them?
