Ms. Holmes went 14:15 overall,….(6:10 tied for 5th in conference with CAL POLY,…split two matches with POLY).
Best.

My guess is Jamie Holmes decided to concentrate on raising her newborn. She looked about 6 months when UC Davis played UH last November. So I have doubts that we'll see her coaching anywhere in the near future.

Would Addie Hauschild come back for the Davis HC job? That's a name I have not heard in ages. Wow, what is she doing these days? Loved her when she played at UOP!!

Addie has her own coaching and training business in Sacramento. www.ahw-volleyball.net/index.asp?TopicID=2I had heard she always wanted to be a head coach, but with her little ones, might be too big of a time commitment.

I hope Dave Shoji has a few tricks up his sleeve. This year seems like it could be very bad in terms of The UH program. Definitely one of the rebuilding years.

Hawaii will probably be a little off but still a very good volleyball team. I think Long Beach will be able to go toe-to-toe with Hawaii this fall and couple of other BW teams might give them a scare, too.

Will they be competitive? You can bet on that. They have a good mix of young talent and some returnees that know the system already. Hawaii has been in this situation many many times and it did not stop them from winning the conference. Will it be tough? Most definitely! I think they will have some growing pains in the beginning, but you can bet they will be ready come postseason.

I know higgins is the most likely one to start, but kendra is an amazing player. She could very well run a 6-2 and play all rotations.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the last post: it seems to suggest that Kendra Koelsch could be setting. I thought she was a pin hitter. I've assumed all along that Tayler Higgins would take over setting responsibilities when Uiato left. I believe Hawaii also brought in a setter from SoCal as well. Where is she likely to fit in? Can anyone comment on all this?

Or kendra. I know higgins is the most likely one to start, but kendra is an amazing player. She could very well run a 6-2 and play all rotations. You tend to make-up a lot of stories. Higgins is highly regarded setter/recruit out of high school. Kendra is good player but not the setter that Tayler Higgins is. A 6-2 would be nice, and of course mentioned by Dave on that interview with Cindy Luis, he said that he is looking into it, so it is definitely a possibility. They are looking at Kendra as an opposite. Knowing the history of the Wahine offense, Dave will most likely run a 5-1.
