I guess the USAV development program with Stalls is not working then, given that she has decided to go and play in the collegiate game. Stanford will be lucky to land her as she will be able to plug into the gaping MB holes due to their graduating seniors, and she will be bringing in tons of top-level playing experience. It would be fun to see her go up against USC MB duo of Candelas and Adams. If Barbooza also lands at the farm, Stanford would be a triple-threat team next year with Richards, Barbooza and Stalls. Thank god Pavan chose Nebraska! Is Stalls decides to go to Stanford, I'll call her the Pavan neutralizer.

Except that she plays a different position, hasn't been proven, and doesn't touch the ball nearly as much. I think cbrown1709 is talking about Barboza and you Richee had Stalls in mind.

Boy, all you Stanford fans are sure "assuming a lot of facts not in evidence", especially with respect to Barboza. You U$C fans who are saying that U$C has always been her first choice are REALLY DREAMERS! Haven't heard the stuff about Stalls but it wouldn't surprise me because I have always been a critic of her decision to forego college and be the 'only" member of t his alleged jr. development program. Prior to being "suckered" to do the OTC gig was was seriously considering LBS as her first choice.....it will sadden me to see her go to Stanford but then again everyone and every program has to move on and LBS couldn't leave a spot open for her indefinitely

I don't see why Stalls going to college, assuming she does so, means the OTC gig was a failure.
Seems to me she gets the best of both worlds.
My question is: how many years of eligibility will she have?

Beachman - I think most of the comments are hopeful thinking. Barboza will make her choice when the time is right and probably will not be influenced by what anyone thinks. She is an amazing player and any program will be better because of her. Tracy Stalls is faced with the eligibility issue - probably why she has decided to return for college. The OTC program is only trying to improve the caliber of player. If we don't try things how do we know they don't work?? The decision is ultimately the girls and we a fans can only speculate....

Hmmm....you talked to her? Anyway, she made a good choice of not going to LBSU back then, and in the future. I'd rather see her go to Stanford, at least I could watch her play in the Pac-10. Also, if enough talents keep moving away from LBSU and keep it where it currently is, Beachman would continue to be "sadden" and bitter, and that would be nice, wouldn't it?

That's not what I said...you need to go back and re-read my first comment.....I know that LBS was a serious contender in the recruitment battle that was going on over her....she would have been a very good fit at Long Beach at the time....not sure if they would be able to accommodate her particular talents at this time though

she would have been a very good fit at Long Beach at the time....not sure if they would be able to accommodate her particular talents at this time though Yep, I do feel sorry for LBSU. The Beachless team would have been a good fit for Stalls a few years back, but now, she is too big and too talented for the Beach team, given their poor performances over the last 2 seasons. If Stalls go to LBSU now, the Beachless team would drag her down! ;D Anyway, I have just checked the USAV website, and I am sure that this would gall Beachman even further. Paula Weishoff sits on the USAV Executive Committee. Looks like the USC's connection and pipeline into USAV is well alive and kicking -- continued access to top players on YNT and JNT, as well as sending players to summer training at Colorado Springs! I can really see steam coming off Beachman's ears now!

I would think that any program who has recruited players for the same position that Ms. Stalls plays, who have been given a promise that they will play, would be just a little "dishonest" with them if they turned around and did something like this!!!! Then again a Mick Haley would do that in a New York Minute
