Why would someone who probably needs a redshirt year enroll early? Would that extra semester "count"? Wouldn't that mean that she is training in the Husker program for 3 semesters instead of 2, without starting her eligibility (RS Fr season and 1st year of NCAA eligibility in Fall 2020)? If someone is indeed in need of a lot of work (her track accolades notwithstanding), wouldn't the extra semester be a win?

Why would someone who probably needs a redshirt year enroll early? An extra beach season would be beneficial, but I agree that the juice probably isn't worth the squeeze. Reclassifying to juggle scholarships is one thing, but this wouldn't affect that.

Unless I'm mistaken, usually the impetus to have a player enroll early comes from the Nebraska coaches, not the recruit. For this to be true, Cook and co., would have to sell Meyer on the strategy of developing for 18 months with the carrot of replacing Stivrins in 2021.
Still wouldn't be surprised to see Nebraska bring in a transfer middle to add depth/push Schwarzenbach and Meyer.

They've been playing her at both middle and RS during the Asia trip.

Right now we are a little bottom heavy with no Seniors on top graduating. I think we need to get these girls experienced so we have some future leadership! GO HUSKERS

Anyone know if any of these players are Husker prospects? Premier's 15 Gold team has a high priority recruit for Nebraska.

Seems kinda surprising given the general disposition of Nebraska recruits. No, the Premier recruit is a walkon recruit. The difficulty is that she's going to be offered by D1 schools, so it's a situation where Cook has to sell the dream of playing for Nebraska as a walkon > a scholarship elsewhere. He's won that battle multiple times, but it's never easy.

She's the best DS prospect in the state. Great passer with range. He might have to offer her a 2/2.
