Please begin learning this play in practice:
Of course learn from the three meter line first.
Let's not fall behind the Brazilians in skill level!

That's one hell of a set. I'm pretty sure they tried that a couple of times in the final and he hit them out.
Brazil should be looking at us we just beat them right?! We will see what happens next month.

Watch Brazil Italy 3rd and 4th pool play matches from couple weeks ago. They ran this play successfully many times hitting over 80% kill with no stuff blocks and no hitting errors. As I said Brazil has made the next real innovation in volleyball.
Bruno might've played 'safer' against USA but I think this will change.

Will refer from now on as the "Back 10" any back middle attack set from 3 meter line or further. 'guru will be upset when he learns Brazil can set the middle this out of system. Maybe one day we'll see a Back 20 which is only another five feet back from a few of these successful extended Back 10's (true Back 15's). On the women's side can only think of TomKom and Thinkaow who'd be easily capable of running a true Back 10 with a little practice.

Easiest play in the world to block for any international middle blocker that knows how to read block. Heck, even pelcj11 could block that play at least 7 out of 10 times.
While you're at it, you should email Speraw and ask him to make Christenson and Lee practice that play on passes that are 20 feet off the net so that the USA can one-up the Brazilians.

Priddy was a better hitter than Sander, the Italian MB's can't block, and Lee has enough vertical and hang time for a back 10. You're on a roll 'guru.

According to you:
1. Sander is a better hitter than Priddy based on one season of World League vs. a 14-year National Team career and over 300 international matches.
2. The Brazilians run the best middle offense by setting the quick from 12 feet off the net based on one match against Italy.
3. Holt is a much better candidate than Lee to run this ridiculous back set from the 12 foot line because his vertical is so much better than Lee's.
Yeah, I can see why the USA National team should be knocking on your door to hire you as a technical advisor for this quadrennial. I mean, you could help them so much by telling them all the things they need to be working on like flashy quicks behind the setter.

I think kokyu's mission is to bring rec league strategy and offensive plays to the USA National Team program.

Apalikov "can't read block" because the back 10 was over before he realized it wasn't going to Lucarelli:
LMAO

Apalikov "can't read block" because the back 10 was over before he realized it wasn't going to Lucarelli: LMAO Yup, he sure as hell can't. He took a jab step to his right based on the pass being off the net, which is basically why Bruno set the ball behind him. Should have stayed home.

BTW, back 10 is a dumb name. It's just a back-1 or a "c" that is set from off the net. Nothing unique enough about it to warrant it's own special name.

'guru, show me one video of another setter doing a back 10 to 15 if you're not trolling 100%. Even Sunderland said no one else in the world can do it.
