I was wondering about the Carico/Hochevar split and whether it was going to be for FIVB as well since they were registered for Stare Jablonki.
However, as of this morning, it is showing Hochevar/Hughes instead of Hochevar/Carico, so I guess that team is done on both tours playing together.

No Lane however.
Also, Yaya (Olaya Pazo Pérez) is signed up too. Seeded 9th at MB. Hopefully her partner is better than the one she played with in Long Beach. One of the Canadian teams spanked them 7 & 9 in the Q.

I wondered if they were doing another CQ for Brazil because only the top 4 teams had shown up as registered. Presumably that means Gibb/Patterson also had to play a CQ....

Gibb/Paterson seeded 1st in the Q. At least they got an extra day's rest not playing on Sunday....
Todd & Theo are the 1st reserve team.
Fendrick/Sweat still registered.

Does anyone have any insight into the Carico/Hochevar split? Based on body language in last weeks match I would guess that Lane initiated, but does anyone know the reason why?

Anyone know if gibb/Patterson are working through his or if there is any tension developing between the 2? This team was looking like a very formidable Olympic team last year and now not even close. I know theres still 2 years left and qualifying doesnt start till next year but they cant afford to get behind out of the gate.

Fendrick/Sweat still registered. No longer showing Fendrick/Sweat. Walsh/Ross also gone! Showing Pavlik/Fopma in qualifier. Of course, we know Fopma isn't playing. And with Hughes playing with Carico, who can/does Pavlik pick up? Should know later today when the qualifier technical meeting is held.

There you go. Probably a smart move for April/Kerri, of course they are better off financially than some of the other teams. A week and a half off will pay dividends down the line.

One of the Canadian teams spanked them 7 & 9 in the Q. Her partner just gave birth a couple of months prior and had only trained a week or two prior not to discredit the up and coming Canadian team, but I am sure they Venezuelan team would have done better with more time to prep. Unfortunately for Venezuela they do not have a talent pool on the women's side.

Considering Walsh/Ross have a few disappointing (for them) recent results. What is the seeding implications going forward since they are missing Poland? What result drops off for the 365 day rule?
Actually considering it's all pool play and the Brazillian women have been affecting seedlings with their comebacks and partner switches, seeding hasn't been too predictable of finish....if that makes any sense.
