Wow, the Buckeyes at #9. How good is Ohio State this year. I watch them 3 years ago, and they were really good.

Moster is the only Libero/DS to be named to the preseason All-B1G. -Hannah Tapp and Kiki Jones are the only Middles in the same regard.

-Hannah Tapp and Kiki Jones are the only Middles in the same regard. ...unless you count Grant (who, I realize, is listed at OH).

Well, there were zero liberos on the 2013 final All-B1G team. Cramer (Purdue) and Moster (Michigan State) were honorable mentions last year. Moster
I think Iowa is ranked a little low. IMO, they could wind up above Northwestern and possibly challenge Ohio State for 9th.

Or Sandbothe or Kylie Randall on Ohio St.?

Lots of talented players in the B1G, including some amazing incoming freshmen (you would expect one or two to end up making the All B1G Team come end of season). I'll be surprised if Nia Grant is on the all-conference team in November.

Heck, Wisconsin got 8 #1 votes nationally and all they get is a lousy 3rd ranking in their league?

Captain Obvious would say it's a pretty tough league.

why don't these rankings match up with the AVCA ratings? Nebraska at 2, but teams are ranked above them in the big ten according to that AVCA poll? Just wondering.

Well this poll is consistent with my feelings on the AVCA poll, that Nebraska was too low. I think here Purdue and Minnesota are too low.
