Does anyone know where Kendall White (a 5'7" DS from Cathedral High School) will be playing in 2017? I heard Cathedral has a very good WVB team this year.

I think she has committed to Penn State. Not 100% sure about that though.

If that's case, another great grab. I read articles saying she was phenomenal athlete and good in a few different sports. It's tuff to be penn state lol.

It's not surprising though. She's from Indiana. Anything east of Mississippi, psu seems to be prime destination. Looking at Texas roster, 80% are homegrown from state and the rest either foreign recruits or from states bordering Texas

I wonder if this related to Prieto leaving even though they play different positions?

What kind of an impact player will she be?

I found out that Kendall is 5'5" soph. DS and Payton is her younger sister, a 5'7" freshman DS on he same Cathedral team.
Kendall White, Soph., Cathedral (Indianapolis, Indiana) – White was named to the Class 4A All-State Second Team for the second year in a row. White also was a repeat selection on the Indianapolis all-city first team. “She continues to get better,” Cathedral coach Jean Kesterson said. White led Cathedral in digs with 381 (4.2 per set) and services aces (41). White was part of a Cathedral team that finished the regular season ranked No. 3 in the state’s largest class (4A). “Kendall White is a huge reason why this year’s team was so successful. Her fierce competitive drive was contagious. We were able to take floor defensive responsibility off our primary setter while Kendall covered her area of the court. In other words, Kendall covered three-fourths of the court and she did it well. Kendall White is a game-changer and will make any team better.” Per Prepvolleyball -

I wonder if you're just trolling some times. This is going to get me in big trouble. I am trolling in a friendly way. You see at PSU even general information like when the VB practices start in August is restricted information not released to the public as you find at almost every other college. Same with scrimmages, open practices,if any, and spring matches are nor easily found. The difference between transparency and disclosure at PSU between the football program and the WVB program could not be more opposite. IMO I seriously doubt someone could find another college that treats their WVB program in a more secretive way. Unless you have ties to their program like Dorothy seems to have, you cannot even find out what ladies PSU is trying to recruit now or in the past. They do announce their committed freshmen players but by then most of the players have already tweeted the news to the media. Now someone will call for my banishment from this website.

I think most programs like to keep it close to the vest. Teams like to keep things within the group, as they should. Programs like to share some things with fans, keep them informed but certainly not critical information like recruiting details, personnel issues, injuries etc.... Recruiting is literally a war between programs, they don't want schools to know who they are pursuing, offering etc...... I wouldn't call it secretive as much as I would call it wise. I can tell you the number one fear or concern for college coaches are the message boards. Once it gets out to the yahoo fans, it gets embellished, speculated on........ The best coaches are always a little paranoid.
