Which of the AVCA pre-season Top 10 teams will be the biggest disappointment?
Which team do you think will end the season with a ranking far below their pre-season rank?
And why do you think they're overrated?

Well, Penn State won't be #1 so I guess that is the safe bet.

Why the hate for Wisconsin?

I'm wondering that, too. I think Wisconsin will be pretty solid this year.

Why the hate for Wisconsin? Most of Wisconsin's preseason hype is based on their tournament run last year, which was way better than their regular season. We all know what happened to Michigan who had a similar year in 2012. I do think 2014 Wisconsin will be better than 2013 Michigan, but I'm not sure I buy them as the #6 team in the country.

I sort of agree. I'm okay with the vote by itself, but I'm not going to use this thread to rag on any teams.

Guess I don't see where this is 'mean' or anyone needs to 'rag' on teams.
Just looking for insightful analysis others may have.
For example, someone could make the case that Washington lost to graduation one of two setters and their libero who became a floor leader. Plus, other than a remarkable comeback at USC they would have never made it to the final four. I could see where someone could make the case that Washington won't finish the season ranked above 9 or 10. That's not mean or ragging, just...opinion and observation.

Wisconsin will have excellent talent. The key will be can they handle the pressure that did not exist last year. The Badgers should attempt to fly a little more under the radar than what I have observed in this off-season.

Just to be in the list above says (perhaps) that your team could be the NCAA Champion. Maybe we just add a few more teams to the list, like Minny, and have them all play a home and home. The team that comes out on top takes the title.

this is as good a guess at top 10 than any iteration of the poll that will come out this season. even if one of these teams ends up being a top 15 team (instead of top 10) ... still a pretty good year. only really 6 of these teams "expect" to be in the top 10 year in and year out.

I think the percentages will smooth out once more and more votes are cast! I can't believe that Wisky will be that much of a disappointment; I wouldn't look past them when it comes time to play them!

well, the biggest problem with this poll is that "disappointment" isn't created equally. Also you are strictly comparing preseason rankings, which is largely based on NCAA post season tournament finishes from the year before, to that of final season rankings, which is largely based on NCAA post season finishes, which is largely based on the bracket. For example, American FINISHED last year as #19, solely based on making the sweet 16...were there only 19 teams better on the year? ummmm no. Also, all of these teams aren't starting the same. For example, Florida has a preseason ranking of #10, which means that they simply have to make a regional to get that ranking again. Whereas a team like Penn State has to actually win the title to get that ranking.
