Texas sweeps UTEP! I hope Texas keeps their momentum for NM, I believe Texas needs to get the jitters out now because they have a big one in Florida next weekend.

Starting lineup: Nicole, Sarah, Khat, Chi, Cat Mcoy, Haley, Pilar. I assume 6-2 with Chloe coming in for Khat

If Texas comes out flat against NM tonight they could lose. NM is better than UTEP and they will be fired up cause they want the win I was expecting a better match from Texas. First game of the season maybe they are shaking off rust. Nice of Elliot to play Hattis.

So, did Nicole play all 6 rotations? If not, who was the second Opposite?

Per Facebook: Got there after the first set. In the second it was Haley and Pilar on the outside, Nicole and Chloe setting, Molly and Khat at RS, Chiaka and Sara at MB. Cat was the libero and Kat and Amy both DS'd for Haley. In the 3rd same setters, Molly and Chiaka at MB, Pilar and Amy at Outside and Paulina and Khat at RS. Kate got in to serve for both sets. Everyone played but Mirta.

I am saying playing the first set close 25-23 is not a good idea against NM. NM believes they can compete with Texas. Plus they are playing at home. I thought Texas was going to roll through no challenge.

Did Baker play? If so, how did she look? How did the PSU transfer do?

Interesting we had 2 different OH hit better with almost as many kills (or more) than Eckerman

Close 1st game. I guess Hattis did get the start!
That's a joke. Good luck to her in front of her family and friends. If Hattis got the start it's because she deserved it. She works hard during practice and the coaches recognize that. You were correct - Hattis did start the match. She played 2 games, so good for her.

Let's see what lineup Elliot goes with against New Mexico.
If Baker isn't ready to go, looks like Neal may get more time at OH then most of us expected. Can Prieto play OH well?
