Amazing save by UW (think it was Vansant can't tell from grainy footage on phone) too only hit it out VERY wide on an unforced error

Ugly win. Better than pretty loss.

Somebody messed up on RK and already put the scores in for this match(5 sets). Must have accidentally put in another matches scores. Or maybe not - does Rich hace some extra temporal connections he isn't telling about?

Was Gonzaga playing that good....or was Washington playing the bad? Props to Gonzaga for not backing down! Ehh both. Washington played horribly to begin all sets, but that might be attributed to GU, playing good. Depends on how you look at it. Defense was horrible for the huskies

Passing needs work...Also, seems like passes on free balls are not very good. Cuts down on setter options...

It was the Nelson show tonight. 26 kills hitting above .500 is amazing

Was Gonzaga playing that good....or was Washington playing the bad? Props to Gonzaga for not backing down! As mentioned before, this is the second year in a row GU has taken UW to five. 1) It's early, and teams are still working in new players. (Not that this was an excuse for UW last year!) 2) GU is a decent team. 3) UW continually dug themselves deep holes at the start of the sets. But in set 5 it looked like GU expected to lose. It was like, "OK, we fought well, now the Huskies are going to win."
