Will the first weekend's matches see much change in the AVCA poll?
Does #7 Nebraska fall out of the top 10, or will they not move much because of the high-caliber of competition they played?
Does Stanford leapfrog to #1 for beating Huskers in Nebraska?
How far does Missouri drop?

I know one thing, hawaii will either fall out or be near the Bottom of the poll. ASU will be around 15. Nebraska will fall to like 14, due to them Losing to quality opponents.

Five-set squeakers by both USC (Pacific) and Washington (Gonzaga).

Nebraska drops out (of Top 10) for sure; main question is does FSU leap Illinois for the 10th spot...Missouri should drop out. Stanford will get at least 2 more first place votes

Five-set squeakers by both USC (Pacific) and Washington (Gonzaga). Nobody (voting) cares. A win is a win, and the only matches the voters pay any attention to are upset losses and matches played between top-25 teams.

You obviously have no clue how the poll works if you think a loss to a ranked team will send Hawaii spiraling downward out of the poll yet at the same time a win over Hawaii will boost ASU ten spots up in the poll.

I predict Mizzou and Minnesota will not drop far enough.

Hoping FSU moves into at least #10 spot after their showing this weekend at the AVCA Showcase . 3-1 win over #7 @ Nebraska followed by an easy sweep of Iowa State today .. With Minnesota losing last night to Louisville and Florida barely getting by Oklahoma it seems realistic to think Florida State gets the nod at the #10 spot !!

They lost to a ranked 25 team in a sweep. Like I said, they will go down to the low 20-25. ASU, may not go up that high, but I was mainly speaking to how good they are

BYU-move up at least 2-3 spots, IMHO. Went 3-0 in matches, 9-0 in games. Good weekend.

My Prediction 1) Penn State 2) Texas 3) Stanford 4) Wisconsin 5) Southern California 6) Washington 7) Purdue 8) BYU 9) Florida 10) Illinois
* 4-6 really tight last (16 pts) - so a little reshuffling per this week

I don't see how Washington drops 2 places after winning all 3 matches.
Sure, Gonzaga took UW to 5 sets, but USC had a 5-set scare as well.
