Vendula Stravoka of Hampton named AVCA National Player of the Week link

Averaged 5.58 kills in three matches after winning the DePaul invitational and recorded her first double double of the season vs. DePaul with 27 kills & 10 digs this past weekend.

How is the national player of the week decided? Not to taking anything away from this young woman, who had an impressive weekend but did she really have the best performance. Didn't Kingdon have a just as impressive weekend?

The first week has been given to a small D1 program all star and after that it is given to the big time players but I am not sure. Vendula was given it the first week last year as well and Saitaua Iosia of UMES was given it '11 and '12.
