Hope Lexi comes back sooner than later! Second tough five set loss of the season... and it's only the third weekend! Ugh. GOBLUE! I hope we don't get a replay of last season when Michigan had difficulty closing matches. I still remember their 2-3 loss last season to Illinois at home after they had a 2-0 lead. They are not consistent enough to be good or good enough to be consistent. For a set or two they can play well, but the longer a match goes, the more this is exposed. Michigan fans can only hope that this early season experience will help this young team down the road. But as the losses pile up in the OC schedule, the math starts to get ugly and the chances of Michigan continuing its tournament streak start to slip. If it's true that the B1G is weaker overall this year, then perhaps they can rally and pick up some wins as the season progresses despite their challenging conference schedule.

Nice win for the Beavers and for the Pac-12. Nice win for everyone that hates the Michigan PA guy and the music he plays during matches. Is he a morning zoo reject? He makes me cheer against Michigan in all their matches, whether at home, or in this case on the road.

Those are the worst. They could really use Lexi's leadership, especially when they are trying to get comfortable with the system.

Why hasn't Lexi Dannemiller been playing this season?? I think the commentator said "mono"? She should be coming back soon... Pretty sure it's not mono...

I think the commentator said "mono"? She should be coming back soon... Pretty sure it's not mono... The first weekend missed in Arkansas was not related to illness. Subsequent matches missed by Lexi have been related to illness, and yes, mononucleosis is the diagnosis. Michigan hopes to have her back as soon as possible. Hopefully by the start of the B1G 10 season and possibly this coming weekend at home.

Hey, paulj, on the 'Illinois Thread' did you not post that you were an old Illinois alum with fond memories of the 'boneyard'...following that with a catty Illinois remark. If you are an Illinois alum...you have certainly changed your stripes from Orange and Blue to Maize and Blue. I am really having a problem with the apparent dishonesty of posters on VT.
